The Man With The Burn Scar Holds The Road To The One Piece
Status: pending · Technique: dialogue, chekhov-explicit
The seed
As the captains discuss the all-out war over the One Piece, the lead “finding the man with the burn scar” is named — “that’s not enough to go on.” Luffy doesn’t know about it (“Burn scar? What do you mean?”). Trafalgar Law reveals he holds a rubbing of Kaido ’s Road Poneglyph — “the same thing we took off Big Mom ’s general” — so the crews now each carry copies of two of the four Road Poneglyphs, yet still need the named-but-unseen “man with the burn scar” to use them.
Ch. 1081 p. 11 — re-seeded by the Blackbeard Pirates
Mapping the four Road Poneglyphs, the Blackbeard Pirates again cite a stone “held by a man with a burn scar ” whom they “can’t find” (p. 11) — the same unseen lead named Ch. 1056 , now from the Blackbeard side. See Road Poneglyph .

Why this matters
An explicit dialogue chekhov dropped exactly as the road-to-Laugh-Tale race resumes — Oda planting a concrete unseen lead the crews (and reader) must chase. Cross-links Road Poneglyph , What is the One Piece .
