The Road-Poneglyph Network Is The Map To Laugh Tale And Luffy Retraces Rogers Stone Trail

This is the route/network reading. It is distinct from the already-filed One Piece Is Joy Boys Letter Plus a Choice (which is about the contents of Laugh Tale). This prediction is about how you get there — the mechanism by which the final island is findable at all.

• dialogue-from-dead-character + prop-tell + chekhov-explicit (Roger’s Message On The Shandora Poneglyph I Hereby Guide This Document To Its End) — a literally-carved line from a man dead 24 years, planted on an indestructible prop the reader is told to read carefully, that explicitly names the endgame mechanism (Roger “guided this document to its end… to Raftel… to the end of the Grand Line”, pp. 14–15). Oda front-loads the structural premise of the final arc here.
• world-building-install (the network premise) (Poneglyph @0301 pp. 13–14) — Robin states the two-type Poneglyph framework: information stones + location stones that show the positions of the other stones, which connected “complete a text, the real Poneglyph, which doesn’t yet exist.” This is the on-page articulation of the corpus as a distributed cipher / index — i.e., a map you assemble by visiting nodes. The Road-Poneglyph hunt mechanic is named here in embryo.
• geographic-determinism (Grand Line Seven Magnetic Routes Converge, Raftel Last Island Roger Crew Only Visitor Ch. 105) — Crocus already established the Grand Line as a funnel converging on one goal-island, with Roger’s crew the only known visitors. The 0301 network reading supplies the how: the stones are the index that resolves the funnel’s terminus.
• name-etymology (Raftel Etymology Encodes Laugh Tale Funny Story; shared-”D.” @0301 p. 16/19) — Raftel = “Laugh Tale”; and the shared “D.” Robin reads off Roger and clocks in “Monkey D. Luffy” (“same feel… as Roger once did”; Shandian: “‘D’…? That can’t just be a coincidence!!”) threads the successor-on-the-route clause through the same scene.

What happened: The navigation-network mechanic is now textual. At Ch. 818 the red Zou stone is named a Road Poneglyph and the map premise is stated outright: there are exactly four Road Poneglyphs, and connecting their four points pinpoints Raftel, the final island where the One Piece waits (pp. 6–8) — two of the four held by the Emperors Big Mom and Kaido. The same chapter establishes that Kozuki Oden reached Raftel sailing with Roger (p. 17), reinforcing the “Roger toured the network” clause (which already had Roger’s carved “I hereby guide this document to its end” on the Shandora stone Ch. 301). At Ch. 846 one of those four Road Poneglyphs is shown concretely in Big Mom’s Treasure Repository as an on-route waypoint, and the alliance (Brook) copies it — making the abstract map a thing the crew is physically assembling.

What we got right / wrong: Right: clause (1) — the location-pointing stones triangulate Laugh Tale — is now an explicit on-page rule, not the @0301 embryo it was at filing; clause (2) — Roger physically toured the network — is strongly supported (Oden’s Raftel voyage + Roger’s node-carving). The exact thing the filing flagged as “forward-canon, post-Ch. 0301” (the literal Road Poneglyph terminology and four-stone triangulation) has landed. Held at partially-confirmed, not confirmed, because clause (3) — Luffy retraces Roger’s specific stone-trail to the same terminal island via Robin’s reading — is still forward (he has begun collecting rubbings, but the retrace-to-Laugh-Tale payoff is uncaptured).

• The Poneglyph corpus is purely a history-record, not a navigation system. If “location stones” turn out only to index other history-stones (for reading the True History) and never resolve a course to Laugh Tale, the navigation-network half fails — collapsing this into the existing contents-prediction.
• Roger reached Raftel by a route unrelated to the stones (e.g., a one-time Log/Eternal-Pose path, a Sea-King escort, or sheer luck). The “Roger toured the network as the route” clause then fails even if the stones are a history-index.
• The final-island course is plotted by something else entirely (a single key artifact, an astronomical alignment, a living guide like a Poseidon/Sea-King) rather than by assembling the stone-set.
• Luffy does not retrace Roger’s specific trail — he reaches Laugh Tale by a novel route, making the “successor-retraces-the-stone-trail” clause wrong even if the network exists.
• The shared-”D.” beat is pure thematic flourish with no operative succession meaning on the route.
