Cover splash (page 1): Buggy’s Crew: After the Battle! Page 10 — cut inside Arlong Park. Arlong sprawled on his bench-throne (sun-Hawaiian coat, lounging, drink at hand): ‘NAVY BASE 77?’ — a subordinate has just reported Pudding-Pudding’s commodore-stat. Arlong: ‘A NEW FACE. TELL HIM NOT TO TRY ANY FUNNY BUSINESS. SOMEBODY GO PARLAY WITH THAT HOTSHOT. IF HE WON’T PAY 2 MILLION, KILL HIM.’ — the bribe-or-die extortion-doctrine is on-page; the Cocoyasi tribute-system is 2 million berries per Marine officer as a don’t-bother-us-fee. BOOM… — incoming Marine cannonball, hits the Park (SHOOOOM). Arlong’s subordinates: ‘THEY FIRED ON US!! INCOMING!!! TAKE COVER, LORD ARLONG!!’ (CHOMP SFX, page 10 final).

Page 11 — Arlong has chewed up the cannonball with his shark-teeth: ‘WHAT CHOMPERS!! HE CHEWED UP THE CANNONBALL LIKE IT WAS CANDY!!’ (Nezumi-subordinate-style mook) — Arlong (smoke-rising from his mouth, SSSSS… SFX, casual): ‘THE PARLAY? …NEVER MIND.’ — PTOOF SFX as he spits out the chewed cannonball. ‘WAIT, BROTHERS.’ — a calm-Hatchan-coded voice from offscreen. ‘RAAAARR HOORAY TO BATTLE!!’ — page 11 mid-tier shows two of Arlong’s officers rallying to battle.

Page 12 — OFFICER REVEAL PANEL: KAPOW SFX, two figures in foreground — left: Kuroobi (large, dark-skinned, muscular, sleeveless dark vest with white belt-bands, crossed arms, scowling). Right: Choo (tall, lean, with white pomaded hair, MARINE-style cap parody, striped vest, ridiculous pursed-lips face). WE HAVE TO TEACH THESE SCOUNDRELS TO RESPECT OUR AUTHORITY!! FIRE ANOTHER ONE. SHOW THEM WE MEAN BUSINESS!!’ / ‘AYE-AYE, COMMODORE PURIN-PURIN!!’ The fire-cannon order is given — and immediately countermanded as a fishman pops out of the water next to the cannon (WUR! / SPLA-SH / SHWUK!!): ‘FIRING CANNON!!’ / ‘BELAY THAT.’ / ‘BOOM!!’ / ‘AAAH!!’ / ‘AGH!!!’ — water cannon fires from the fishman’s mouth at the Marine cannoneer (WATER CANNON caption). • What is the chunk-out-of-the-shoreline? Page 7 — ‘Something took a chunk out of the shoreline here.’ The chapter does not resolve what created the shoreline-chunk. Forward-question: is this related to Nami’s Usopp-staging?
• Who attacked Mohmoo (off-page)? The chapter’s opening Mohmoo-flying sequence has an implied Luffy attacker (per the page-4 voice-actor configuration), but the actual strike is off-page — held for retrospective payoff.
• Will Pudding-Pudding survive the maelstrom? Chapter ends with the Marine ship being sucked under; the chapter does not show explicit deaths. Forward-question: rescue Marines, dead Marines, or off-page-fate-pending?
