Profile

Bounty hunter. Partner to Yosaku. Wears a green bandana, dark sunglasses (almost never removed), long dark coat, dark trousers, sword at the hip. One of Zoro’s pre-Straw-Hat bounty-hunting partners (page 16). The spokesperson of the pair — does most of the talking, including the chapter’s recruitment-arc setup (the Baratie offer + the Hawk-Eye name-drop).

Introduced boarding the Going Merry in pursuit of perceived attack on his dying partner (page 8 — “COME OUT AND FIGHT, DOGS!! I’ll murder the lot of you!!!”). Recognised by Zoro on sight (page 12 — “Well, I’ll be… it’s Johnny!”). Reveals the Baratie destination and names Hawk-Eye Mihawk as Zoro’s old hunt-target (page 19).

Arlong Park (arc-exit) (Ch. 95) — Amicable exit; resume bounty-hunting

• First clean temporary-allies-leave-amicably exit in the series (page 11). At the Coco Village dock, facing Luffy and Sanji (DOOM!!): “We’ll say goodbye here. Hope we meet again someday. We’re going back to being bounty hunters. Thanks for everything, Luffy.” Luffy: “You too. Okay. You guys take care.”
