Profile

A cheerful, irrepressible little girl who works as a kamuro — a young attendant to an oiran (see Oiran) — in the Flower Capital. She laughs even while she cries, which the Straw Hats find endearing and strange. She is the kamuro of the reigning oiran Oiran (top courtesan of Wano), whom she calls “big sis.”

Wano Country — Fire Festival conclusion (Ch. 1050)

• At the festival with Kozuki Sukiyaki, honors her late father Yasuie; rewrites her sky-lantern wish from “I want to see Daddy” to “Daddy, thank you” — the chapter’s “no greater honor” beat (pp. 4-6).

Wano Country — Flower Capital Fire Festival (Ch. 1016)

• At the Flower Capital Fire Festival (as “Otoko”), a hooded woman reassures her that her father (Yasuie/Tonoyasu) is “watching over you… and the fate of the country” from heaven (pp. 2–3). (The hooded woman is most likely Kozuki Hiyori but is unnamed/face-not-shown — Hiyori’s last_appearance NOT advanced.)

Wano Country (Ch. 951)

• Grieving her executed father Yasuie — “cried herself to sleep inside my robe” — carried, asleep, by Brook then Robin at the ruined Kuri port (p.12).

• Named-not-shown — the shamisen-playing woman sheltering Zoro frets over her: “But I’m worried about Otoko! … I left her with my people! She’ll be fine, physically speaking…” (p. 15). Wano Country (Ch. 945)

• Targeted by Orochi’s forces as “the Kamuro girl”; rescued by Usopp. Still laughs uncontrollably (SMILE) even in danger — “Daddy!!” — mourning Yasuie (pp. 4–6).

Wano Country — Rasetsu Town (Ch. 944)

• Rescued from the execution grounds by Zoro, who hands her (“Take her.”) to a samurai to be carried to safety — “Way to save Otoko!!” (pp. 2–3).
• Confirmed to be the daughter of Tonoyasu/Yasuie, the man just executed (a guard names her “that bratty little daughter of Yasuie’s”, p. 3).

Wano Country — Rasetsu Town (Ch. 943)

• Breaks past the execution-ground gate to “revive” her crucified father Yasuie with “medicine” (toad oil), laughing uncontrollably the whole time (pp. 14–16) — her chronic laughing tic is the SMILE defect.
• Orochi, recognizing her as Yasuie’s child and the girl who mocked him, opens fire to execute her too (“Two generations of your family have earned my wrath!!!”); he blames her for Oiran (top courtesan of Wano)‘s death (p. 16).
• Saved at the cliffhanger when Zoro and Sanji burst in and deflect Orochi’s bullets (p. 17). Still alive.

Wano Country — Rasetsu Town (Ch. 942)

• Revealed to be Yasuie’s daughter — she cries “Daddy!!” at his execution and he begs her forgiveness (“Forgive me, Otoko!!”, pp. 13–15). By extension she is of the Shimotsuki house.
• Confirmed a defective-SMILE victim: after Yasuie is shot she laughs helplessly — ”…My daddy… is dead!!! Aha ha ha!!” — while actually weeping; the close-up lands the SMILE reveal (pp. 16–17). Her chronic “laughing tic” (since 0927) is now explained. See Ebisu Town’s Perpetual Smiles.

Wano Country (Ch. 941)

• On hearing the captured Denjiro is to be executed, cries “THAT’S MY DADDY!!!” — naming the thief as Tonoyasu (p. 12); confirms he is her (adoptive) father.
• Bolts for the Flower Capital to save him despite being wanted herself; “DADDY!! You can’t go!!” (pp. 13, 17). Zoro leaves to chase her.

Wano Country (Ch. 940) — referenced (via the Ebisu townsfolk); not on-page

• Revealed (off-page, via the Ebisu townsfolk) to be the daughter of Tonoyasu; she sends nearly all her capital earnings home to him and “laughed a lot too” (pp. 8–9) — re-seeds Ebisu Town’s Perpetual Smiles.

Wano Country — at Hiyori’s hideaway (Ch. 939)

• With Kozuki Hiyori as Zoro recovers; one of the few who knows Hiyori’s true identity (“Big Sis and me made it our special secret!”); rejoices that “my brother is alive” (pp. 3, 7).

Wano Country — Ringo / Northern Graveyard (Ch. 938)

• At Ringo’s Northern Graveyard with the woman (later revealed as Kozuki Hiyori), helping nurse the wounded Zoro (pp. 10–12).
• Introduces herself — “My name’s Toko! That’s ‘O-Toko’ with the honorific… but I’m not a man! Hee hee!” — and notes they “cannot return to the capital” having earned the shogun Orochi’s wrath (pp. 11–12).

• Referenced as left “at the pleasure hall”; the Ringo group worries about her after the banquet (“do you really think he’d go running around after a mere child?”).

Wano Country (Ch. 933) — Orochi demands to devour her; Robin shields her

• At Orochi’s banquet the serpent-enraged Shogun demands the laughing child be brought to him to be “devoured alive” — “this would never have happened if you hadn’t laughed at me!!!” (p. 14). Nico Robin (as Orobi) shields her; she pleads with Oiran (top courtesan of Wano) not to provoke the Shogun.

Wano Country (Ch. 932) — her laughter enrages Orochi

• Oiran (top courtesan of Wano)‘s kamuro (child attendant). At Orochi’s banquet she cannot stop laughing at the cowardly shogun (“a laughing tic… she doesn’t mean it!!”), enraging Orochi, who moves to kill her (pp. 12–14). Komurasaki shields her; an unidentified woman “from the soba” spirits Toko away (p. 16).

Wano Country (Ch. 930)

• Appears in Ebisu Town drinking the gifted “nice, clean water” and laughing happily with the townsfolk (p. 5). (Shown, unnamed in this chapter’s dialogue.)
