Name meaning
**Kibi** (希美, 'rare beauty' on-page spelling) puns on 黍 *kibi* = **proso millet**, the grain of *kibi dango* (millet dumplings) — the very treat Momotarō hands out to recruit his animal retainers (and the basis of Otama's Gifter-taming dumplings in-arc). It also evokes the real **Kibi-no-kuni** (吉備国, the old Chūgoku/Okayama province) that is the traditional home of the Momotarō legend (the Kibitsuhiko myth). Another node in Wano's Momotarō web (cf. Onigashima, Momonosuke).
