Chapter 794: Sabo's Adventure

Summary

Dressrosa aftermath. At Kyros’ home on the hill over Carta in the eastern town of Dressrosa, Sabo prepares to leave the country before C.P.0 (“C.P. Zero”) returns; an exhausted Luffy snores nearby while Nico Robin and Zoro listen to Sabo recount how a third brother survived. In flashback, Sabo retells his caged-bird departure from Goa, his boat being blasted by a Celestial Dragon, and how — as he drowned crying for Ace and Luffy — he was pulled from the sea by Dragon and the Revolutionary Army (“You’re late, Dragon!”). He awoke with total amnesia: the name “Sabo” on his belongings meant nothing to him, and the only clear thing inside him was a refusal to go back to his parents. The Revolutionaries (noting he was “of Goa Kingdom noble stock”) chose not to send him home, and raised him. Two years before the present, his memory finally returned in a flood when he read the newspaper of the Paramount War — that Akainu had killed Ace — collapsing him into a three-day fever (Koala frantic at his bedside). The chapter then recaps the colosseum reunion (Sabo as “Lucy” recognizing the disguised Luffy, the SABOOOO!! embrace) and Sabo’s plea to inherit the Flame-Flame Fruit. Back in the present, Robin reveals she made a Vivre Card of Luffy; Sabo tears off a little piece to keep tabs on his brother, then flies off Dressrosa on a giant bird with soldier Hack, testing his fire powers as he goes. Zoro: “He sounds just like Ace did…”
