Summary
In the aftermath of his defeat, Doflamingo — bloodied in the rubble — refuses to die quietly and torments Luffy by recounting how he learned, from the Blackbeard Pirates who captured Ace at Banaro Island, Ace’s final wish before his execution: “Don’t tell my brother.” Luffy, raging that he has relived this loss “every single night,” tells Doflamingo there is “no need” to finish him. The scene cuts to Sabo, who finishes Jesus Burgess with the Mera Mera no Mi (“Fire Fist”), keeping Ace’s reborn fruit from the Blackbeard Pirates and declaring he was going to let Burgess go, “but Ace here said you deserved it.” Sabo coordinates with Koala and Hack of the Revolutionary Army, who have secured a “list” and are extracting underground. Across Dressrosa, the Donquixote Pirates officers are subdued with sea-prism stone, Vice Admiral Maynard broadcasts the city’s true state to three nearby islands via visual transponder snail, the citizens beg King Riku to retake the throne (backed by Elizabello II, “King of Prodence”), and Admiral Fujitora kneels and apologizes to the people on behalf of the World Government — a moment that spreads worldwide as the fall of Doflamingo, the world’s greatest black-market broker, becomes headline news.
New reveals
- Ace’s last words were “Don’t tell my brother.” When the Blackbeard Pirates captured Ace at Banaro Island and prepared to hand him to the Navy, Ace’s only concern on learning he’d be executed was that Luffy not find out (p. 4). Doflamingo learned this when the crew tried to contact him.
- The Blackbeard Pirates tried to contact Doflamingo (called “the commander”) via transponder snail before handing Ace over — a line of communication between Blackbeard’s crew and the then-Warlord Doflamingo (p. 3).
- Sabo can use the Mera Mera no Mi in combat — he lands a “Fire Fist” that defeats Burgess (pp. 5-7), the first on-page demonstration of Sabo wielding Ace’s reborn flame.
- The Revolutionaries (Sabo, Koala, Hack) ran an operation at Dressrosa and secured a “list” (contents unstated); they extract via an underground rendezvous (pp. 7-8).
- The Donquixote Family is tallied at eight officers plus three supreme officers, “nearly all” with Devil Fruit powers; they’re being subdued with sea-prism stone to neutralize them (pp. 8-9).
- Fujitora’s broadcast apology: via visual transponder snails reaching three nearby islands, Maynard then Fujitora reveal Dressrosa’s true state; Fujitora declares the World Government — through the Warlord system — responsible for letting Doflamingo reign, then prostrates himself in apology (pp. 9-14).

Open questions raised
- What is “the list” the Revolutionary Army secured at Dressrosa, and what will they do with it?
- What will be the fallout of Fujitora’s public apology for the Warlord system and the World Government’s credibility?
- How will the underworld and the great powers react to losing Doflamingo, the world’s greatest black-market broker (the SMILE/weapons pipeline)?
- Did the Blackbeard Pirates ever actually reach Doflamingo, and what did that contact entail beyond relaying Ace’s words?
