Summary

Flames erupt from the old King’s Plateau as Luffy carries the gravely wounded Trafalgar Law clear of Doflamingo, intending to send him down to safety. Doflamingo refuses to let Law go — blocking Robin with Spider Net and lashing out with Bullet String, Hawk Whip, and Overheat — while Cavendish (rousing from his murderous “Hakuba” sleep-state), Bartolomeo, and the Tontatta Leo arrange to evacuate Law down Bartolomeo’s barrier stairs and stitch his wounds. Law regains consciousness and insists on staying to watch the fight to its end, declaring he has lived the past thirteen years only to see Doflamingo fall, and that if Luffy loses he should die alongside him. Doflamingo reminisces over Luffy’s improbable rise — the “Monkey D.” name, surviving the Paramount War at Marineford, his ballooning bounty — and taunts that the Birdcage will grind Dressrosa’s helpless citizens to pulp within the hour. Luffy answers Grizzly Magnum and the vow to take Doflamingo down himself “because you got in my way,” then raises the chapter’s final word: “Gear… Fourth.”
