Summary
In the Dressrosa aftermath, Luffy is still trading blows with blind Admiral Fujitora, deliberately announcing every move (“gonna punch ya,” “gonna kick ya”) so as not to take unfair advantage of a man who cannot see — a courtesy Fujitora resents as pity. The giant Hajrudin snatches the exhausted Luffy and hauls him toward the waiting ships while Fujitora warns that, having toppled “Joker,” Straw Hat’s future is now hell: the Four Emperors will hunt him. As Fujitora prepares to bury the fleeing pirates under a sky of falling rubble, the Dressrosa citizens mass around Luffy (“Lucy”) as a living shield — not out of anger but loyalty (Rebecca, Kyros, and the rest) — so the Admiral cannot drop his stone without crushing the people he protects. Moved, Fujitora declines, briefly opening his eyes to “see” the face of the man “honest to a fault.” Aboard the colossal Yonta Maria mothership, the seven colosseum captains — Cavendish, Bartolomeo, Sai, Ideo, Leo, Hajrudin, and Orlumbus — drew lots, ranked themselves, and now ritually exchange the “Father and Son” sake-cups: 5,600 fighters across their combined forces pledge themselves as Luffy’s subordinate fleet under the affiliation of the Straw Hat Pirates. A baffled Luffy can only ask what they’re all talking about.
New reveals
- The Straw Hat Grand Fleet is formed: seven captains pledge to Luffy as a subordinate fleet via the oyako (Father-and-Son) sake-cup ceremony — 5,600 members total “under the affiliation of the Straw Hat Pirates” (pp. 16-17).
- The seven leaders, ranked by drawing lots (p. 15 — “we arrived at this order by drawing lots”): #1 “White Knight” Cavendish — Beautiful Pirates, 75; #2 “Man-Eater” Bartolomeo — Barto Club, 56; #3 Don Sai — 13th chieftain of the 1,000-strong Happou Army; #4 Ideo “Cannon of Destruction” — four-member XXX Gym Fighting Alliance; #5 Leo the Warrior — 200 of the Tonta Corps; #6 Hajrudin — future Giant Pirate Crew, still just 5; #7 Orlumbus — Commodore of the 4,300-man Yonta Maria Fleet (pp. 16-17).
- The Yonta Maria — the Yonta Maria Fleet mothership — is shown for the first time (p. 13); 56 ships total form a connected bridge across the misty sea (p. 7).
- Fujitora explicitly warns Luffy that eliminating “Joker” (Doflamingo) has put him in the Four Emperors’ crosshairs — “your future is hell” (p. 9).
- Hajrudin’s dream: rebuild “the Giant Pirate Crew that once shook the foundations of the world” — the crew of “Master Dorry and Master Brogy” — and “one day stand atop all of giantkind”; Usopp can’t wait to go to Elbaf (p. 14).
- Public acknowledgment that Kyros and Rebecca are father and daughter (with Scarlett the mother) — happy together “16 years ago” — and that mentioning it, like the identity of the “fairies” (Tontatta), was always an unspoken local rule (p. 11).

Open questions raised
- When and how will the Grand Fleet’s 5,600-strong pledge be called upon?
- Will Hajrudin’s revived Giant Pirate Crew and Usopp’s Elbaf dream converge?
- How soon will the Four Emperors move against the new “rookie” who toppled a Warlord?
