New Marineford Reveal Restages The Navy-HQ Fortress-Over-Sea Establishing Splash
The first full-page reveal of New Marineford (the relocated Navy Headquarters on the New-World side of the Red Line) is staged in the exact establishing grammar Oda reserves for the Marine HQ: a wide, bilaterally symmetrical fortress filling the frame with 海軍 (“MARINE”) inscribed across its face, a rank of warships specked along the waterline at the bottom, a giant boom-SFX arced across the top of the frame, wave-rumble running along the water, and a boxed location-name caption. It is the Marineford War Bay Establishing-Splash Bookend / WG Fortress-Over-Sea DOOM-Splash Composition lineage re-shot for the rebuilt HQ — a then/now bracket across the time-skip: the old fortress was destroyed in the Paramount War those splashes opened and closed, so the same composition now introduces its replacement.
The seed

(The relocation itself is announced textually one act earlier — Ch. 598 p. 10/23 states the new Fleet Admiral moved HQ to the New-World side of the Red Line, swapping with G-1, “in the oceans where the Four Emperors reign,” and re-labels old Marineford as Navy Branch G-1 — but it is shown only as a schematic diagram, never as an establishing splash. Page 2 of 0905 is the first time the new fortress gets the full-page treatment.)
The payoff

Why this matters
This is the third node the WG Fortress-Over-Sea DOOM-Splash Composition note explicitly told us to watch for: its closing line predicted “Marineford should get the same wide-symmetrical-fortress DOOM-splash treatment… and any future WG stronghold reveal is a candidate to extend this lineage.” It does — but with a twist. The 0550→0580 pair used the grammar as a war bookend (begins here / …is over) around a single fortress. Here Oda uses the same grammar across a structural rupture: the building itself changed (relocated, rebuilt, re-flagged under a new Fleet Admiral), yet the establishing composition is held constant so the reader reads continuity of the institution even as the physical fortress is swapped. The composition is the institution’s signature; keeping it identical is how Oda says “this is still Marine HQ” while every concrete detail (location, silhouette, commander) has moved.
Watch-for: the remaining un-staged WG central reveal — a Mariejois / Pangaea Castle Holy-Land establishing splash — would complete the lineage; and note that the relocation schematic (Ch. 598 p.10) is the textual seed this image pays off, so a told-then-shown gap of ~300 chapters is itself the tell.
