Sphinx flashback — captures Weevil (Ch. 1073)

• Identified as the Admiral who “showed up” at Sphinx and captured Edward Weevil after the latter routed a lesser Navy squadron — “Admiral Ryokugyu showed up and all our efforts were in vain” (p. 14). Frames him as the WG’s response to the post-Warlord-abolition Weevil.

Wano Country — assault on the Flower Capital, routed by Shanks (Ch. 1055)

• Attacks near the Flower Capital with a plant/grass body: regenerates when cut (“for every one I cut in two, another grows!!”, p. 3) and is immune to fire (“Fire-Break Forest”; mocks the idea fire is “an obvious weakness,” p. 2). Towers over the samurai as a giant forest-form.

• Named (with Fujitora) as a Navy Admiral who clashed with the Revolutionary Army’s captains during their Mariejois raid (reported, p. 11).

Reverie — first on-page appearance (Ch. 905)

• First time shown. Title-carded “Navy HQ Admiral Ryokugyu,” lounging at Sacred Marijoa on Reverie-security duty (pp. 14-15) — confirming his Admiral rank on-page.
• Reveals he has not eaten for three years — a self-imposed fast (“And that’s why I haven’t had a bite… for three darn years!! Ra ha ha!!”); jokes he’d “chow down” if a pretty lady asked.
• Trades barbs with a guest (blind; fresh from seeing Vegapunk’s creation) who means to destroy the Seven Warlords system; Ryokugyu had been sent by Sakazuki to find and kick that guest out but declines to fight (p. 14).
