Storyline
Wano Country reader-request title pages (Request one-offs)
Status
ongoing

A register-bin, not a serial — the Wano-Country-arc home for standalone reader-requested gag title pages: a fan mails in a one-line premise (printed as a REQUEST: "…" BY {pen-name} [FROM {prefecture}] caption), and Oda draws it as a standalone B&W chapter-title panel. These carry no recurring cover-serial banner and no “Vol. N” installment counter, so they are logged in one place to keep future reader passes from forking each gag into a new cover serial.

The structural test is the same as the prior arc bins (Whole-Cake-Island-Reader-Request-Title-Pages, Dressrosa-Reader-Request-Title-Pages, Return-to-Sabaody-Reader-Request-Title-Pages, Marineford-Title-Page-One-Offs, etc.): a page belongs here when its title strip carries only the chapter title plus a “REQUEST” requester credit — no serial banner, no installment counter — verified on-page. The gags are unrelated to the chapter’s main-plot content and never rejoin main canon.

Predecessor cover serial (now closed). The Wano-era title slot opened still carrying the No. 23 “Saga of the Self-Proclaimed Straw Hat Fleet” anthology, which concluded on-cover at @0919 (Vol. 46, “Final Chapter (Part Two)” — the seven Grand-Fleet division captains’ two-part curtain call). From @0920 onward the Wano title slot runs standalone reader-request gags with no successor numbered serial yet — whether a No. 24 serial follows is forward of this read frontier and is not pre-cast (§Forward guards).

Per-chapter log

  • Ch. 920 “For Love of Oden” (B&W chapter-title page — reader “Request” gag, no series caption) — Page 1 reader-request illustration: Zoro and Sanji fight even in their dreamsZoro and Sanji (in Wano garb) brawling in twin dream-bubbles above their sleeping selves. Captioned REQUEST: "ZOLO AND SANJI FIGHT EVEN IN THEIR DREAMS" BY GOEMON FROM NARA. A pure gag decorative one-off, unrelated to the chapter’s main-plot content (the Oden Castle ruins / “For Love of Oden” beat). Title strip carries only the chapter title plus the “REQUEST … BY GOEMON FROM NARA” credit — no recurring cover-serial banner and no “Vol. N” installment counter — so it is logged here as standalone decorative B&W title art, not a serialized installment and not a cover→main-plot crossover. (Per chapter note Notable panels.) (p. 1)
  • Ch. 922 “Supreme Commander Kaido of the Animal Kingdom Pirates” (B&W chapter-title page — reader “Request” gag, no series caption) — Page 1 reader-request illustration: Koala teaching Kung-Fu Dugongs the ways of Fish-Man KarateKoala in a gi drilling a row of Kung-Fu Dugongs (labeled “KOALA”) in Fish-Man Karate forms. Captioned REQUEST: "KOALA TEACHING KUNG-FU DUGONGS THE WAYS OF FISH-MAN KARATE" BY MEHH FROM SAKU. A pure gag decorative one-off, unrelated to the chapter’s main-plot content (Kaido in dragon form razing the Oden Castle ruins with Blast Breath; Luffy’s Elephant Gun counter). Title strip carries only the chapter title plus the “REQUEST … BY MEHH FROM SAKU” credit — no recurring cover-serial banner and no “Vol. N” installment counter — so it is logged here as standalone decorative B&W title art, not a serialized installment and not a cover→main-plot crossover. (Per chapter note Notable panels.) (p. 1)
  • Ch. 923 “The Emperor of the Sea, Kaido vs. Luffy” (B&W chapter-title page — reader “Request” gag, no series caption)the chapter tracked this run. Page 1 reader-request illustration: child Luffy, Ace and Sabo having a beetle contest — the three young ASL brothers (caped child Sabo at left, Luffy center, freckled child Ace in his beetle-goggled hat at right) cheering around a rope-bound tree stump on which Atlas, Hercules and Miyama (stag) beetles are pitted against one another. Captioned REQUEST: "CHILD LUFFY, ACE AND SABO HAVING A CONTEST WITH ATLAS, HERCULES AND MIYAMA BEETLES" BY HONEY LICKER. A pure gag decorative one-off (the ASL-brothers beetle/insect-rivalry motif), unrelated to the chapter’s main-plot content (Kaido’s first true on-page combat — dragon then human form — one-shotting Luffy with “Thunder Bagua”). Verified directly on-page: the title strip reads only the chapter title “EMPEROR OF THE SEA KAIDO VS. LUFFY” with the “REQUEST … BY HONEY LICKER” credit — no recurring cover-serial banner and no “Vol. N” installment counter — so it is logged here as standalone decorative B&W title art, not a serialized installment and not a cover→main-plot crossover. (The request art predates the main-plot Ace/Sabo brotherhood reveals — a non-canon childhood caricature gag, not a cover-story B-plot.) (p. 1)
  • Ch. 924 “Huh” (B&W chapter-title page — reader “Request” gag, no series caption) — Page 1 reader-request illustration: Sentomaru splitting logs for an elderly bear coupleSentomaru chopping firewood for an elderly bear couple. Captioned REQUEST: "SENTOMARU SPLITTING LOGS FOR AN ELDERLY BEAR COUPLE" BY SANADACCHI. A pure gag decorative one-off, unrelated to the chapter’s main-plot content (the Udon Prisoner Mines beat). Title strip carries only the chapter title plus the “REQUEST … BY SANADACCHI” credit — no recurring cover-serial banner and no “Vol. N” installment counter — so it is logged here as standalone decorative B&W title art, not a serialized installment and not a cover→main-plot crossover. (Per chapter note Notable panels.) (p. 1)
  • Ch. 926 “Excavation Labor Camp” (B&W chapter-title page — reader “Request” gag, no series caption)the chapter tracked this run. Page 1 reader-request illustration: Law and Chopper studying medicine with a scholarly stork and turtleTrafalgar Law and Tony Tony Chopper poring over medical texts alongside a scholarly stork and turtle. Captioned REQUEST: "LAW AND CHOPPER STUDYING MEDICINE WITH A SCHOLARLY STORK AND TURTLE" BY ONANTURE. A pure gag decorative one-off (the two doctors of the alliance studying medicine together), unrelated to the chapter’s main-plot content (the Udon Excavation Labor Camp; Luffy & Kid defeating Vice Warden Dobon). Title strip carries only the chapter title plus the “REQUEST … BY ONANTURE” credit — no recurring cover-serial banner and no “Vol. N” installment counter — so it is logged here as standalone decorative B&W title art, not a serialized installment and not a cover→main-plot crossover. (Per chapter note Notable panels.) (p. 1)
  • Ch. 930 “Ebisu Town” (B&W chapter-title page — reader “Request” gag, no series caption)the chapter tracked this run. Page 1 reader-request illustration: Urouge and Cracker racing on dolphinsUrouge and Charlotte Cracker racing astride dolphins, by Oh-Oh. A pure gag decorative one-off, unrelated to the chapter’s main-plot content (Ebisu Town’s perpetual smiles; Big Mom’s fleet reaching Wano; King and Page One debuting; Sanji bracing to fight Page One unseen). Title strip carries only the chapter title plus the “REQUEST … BY OH-OH” credit — no recurring cover-serial banner and no “Vol. N” installment counter — so it is logged here as standalone decorative B&W title art, not a serialized installment and not a cover→main-plot crossover. (Per chapter note Notable panels: “reader-request art series; B&W, no serial cover-story B-plot in this era.”) (p. 1)
  • Ch. 932 “Shogun and Oiran” (B&W chapter-title page — reader “Request” gag, no series caption)the chapter tracked this run. Page 1 reader-request illustration: goats eating letters written by CaesarCaesar Clown grinning at a café table holding a “Now Hiring” handbill (“Genius — let’s build a corporation so massive… Caesar Clown”) while goats around him chew through his written letters. Captioned REQUEST: "GOATS EATING LETTERS WRITTEN BY CAESAR" BY FUJI. A pure gag decorative one-off (the post-Dressrosa fugitive Caesar’s get-rich-quick scheming, undone by goats eating his correspondence), unrelated to the chapter’s main-plot content (Orochi’s banquet; Komurasaki and Robin/“Orobi”; Orochi’s serpent transformation). Verified directly on-page: the title strip reads only the chapter title “SHOGUN AND OIRAN” with the “REQUEST … BY FUJI” credit — no recurring cover-serial banner and no “Vol. N” installment counter — so it is logged here as standalone decorative B&W title art, not a serialized installment and not a cover→main-plot crossover. (The Caesar café gag is a recurring reader-request motif, not a serialized Caesar Clown cover plot.) (p. 1)
  • Ch. 934 “Hyogoro the Flower” (B&W chapter-title page — reader “Request” gag, no series caption)the chapter tracked this run. Page 1 reader-request illustration: Usopp talking with a cockatiel perched on his noseUsopp seated among reeds with a large cockatiel perched on the bridge of his nose, a second cockatiel beside him. Captioned REQUEST: "USOPP TALKING WITH A COCKATIEL PERCHED ON HIS NOSE." BY NODA SKYWALKER. A pure gag decorative one-off (the long-nosed Usopp as a perch — a recurring Usopp-nose visual joke), unrelated to the chapter’s main-plot content (the Big Mom Pirates confirming Mama’s intact Vivre Card; the Wano geography map; Brook’s Onigashima poneglyph reveal; Hyogoro the Flower and Luffy in the Udon mines; Queen’s arrival). Verified directly on-page: the title strip reads only the chapter title “HYOGORO THE FLOWER” with the “REQUEST … BY NODA SKYWALKER” credit — no recurring cover-serial banner and no “Vol. N” installment counter — so it is logged here as standalone decorative B&W title art, not a serialized installment and not a cover→main-plot crossover. (Per chapter note Notable panels: “not a serialized cover-story B-plot.”) (p. 1)
  • Ch. 936 “Sumo Inferno” (B&W chapter-title page — reader “Request” gag, no series caption)the chapter tracked this run. Page 1 reader-request illustration: Aokiji accidentally freezing Wanze’s bowl of ramenAokiji and the CP7 ramen-kenpo agent Wanze at a ramen stand, Aokiji’s ice powers having frozen Wanze’s bowl solid. Drawn by Misato. A pure gag decorative one-off (the ex-Admiral’s chilling touch undoing a meal), unrelated to the chapter’s main-plot content (Queen’s “Sumo Inferno” death-match; Kawamatsu alive in Udon; Sanji’s “Soba Mask”/Stealth Black raid suit; Zoro and the Ringo blade-bandit; the leaked ankle-tattoo plan). Title strip carries only the chapter title plus the “REQUEST … BY MISATO” credit — no recurring cover-serial banner and no “Vol. N” installment counter — so it is logged here as standalone decorative B&W title art, not a serialized installment and not a cover→main-plot crossover. (Per chapter note Notable panels: “B&W request art, no serial cover story.”) (p. 1)
  • Ch. 940 “Sparks of Rebellion” (B&W chapter-title page — reader “Request” gag, no series caption)the chapter tracked this run. Page 1 reader-request illustration: Bartolomeo crafting masterpiece candy versions of the Straw Hats at a summer festival, but not wanting to sell them to anyoneBartolomeo at a festival candy-crafting (ame-zaiku) stall, the lanterns lettered あめ細工 (“candy art”), proudly displaying delicate sugar figurines of the Straw Hat crew while a crowd of children gawks; the Luffy-superfan refuses to part with any of them. Captioned REQUEST: "BARTOLOMEO CRAFTING MASTERPIECE CANDY VERSIONS OF THE STRAW HATS AT A SUMMER FESTIVAL, BUT NOT WANTING TO SELL THEM TO ANYONE" BY I LOVE LOMEO. A pure gag decorative one-off (Bartolomeo’s obsessive Straw-Hat fandom played for laughs), unrelated to the chapter’s main-plot content (Ebisu Town’s saint Tonoyasu; Hyogoro teaching Luffy Ryuo in the Udon mines; Caribou and Kawamatsu imprisoned; Big Mom’s group riding toward the camp). Verified directly on-page: the title strip reads only the chapter title “SPARKS OF REBELLION” with the “REQUEST … BY I LOVE LOMEO” credit — no recurring cover-serial banner and no “Vol. N” installment counter — so it is logged here as standalone decorative B&W title art, not a serialized installment and not a cover→main-plot crossover. (Per chapter note Notable panels: title page / cover-story art, not a color spread.) (p. 1)
  • Ch. 995 “A Kunoichi’s Oath” (B&W chapter-title page — reader “Request” gag, no series caption)the chapter tracked this run. Page 1 reader-request illustration: Luffy tries to study but gets bored right awayLuffy slumped/stretching at a school desk, already bored, while a bespectacled owl schoolmaster in a graduation mortarboard presides at a lectern and two mouse-faced pupils sit at desks below. Captioned READER REQUEST: "LUFFY TRIES TO STUDY BUT GETS BORED RIGHT AWAY" BY P.N. WALKING MAMA FROM SETAGAYA WARD. A pure gag decorative one-off (Luffy’s short attention span / no-good-at-studying running joke), unrelated to the chapter’s main-plot content (Marco vs. Big Mom and Perospero; Carrot and Wanda entering Sulong to avenge Pedro; Queen’s oni-plague on the Performance Floor; Otama’s titular oath that Luffy will be King of the Pirates). Verified directly on-page: the title strip reads only the chapter title “A KUNOICHI’S OATH” with the “READER REQUEST … BY P.N. WALKING MAMA FROM SETAGAYA WARD” credit — no recurring cover-serial banner and no “Vol. N” installment counter — so it is logged here as standalone decorative B&W title art, not a serialized installment and not a cover→main-plot crossover. (Per chapter note Notable panels: “One-shot reader-request cover, not a serialized cover story.”) (p. 1)
  • Ch. 996 “Island of the Strongest” (B&W chapter-title page — reader “Request” gag, no series caption)the chapter tracked this run. Page 1 reader-request illustration: Blackbeard and a hippo brushing their teethBlackbeard (Marshall D. Teach) in his pirate-captain coat, foaming toothbrush in hand, standing beside a big-jawed hippopotamus that scrubs its own oversized teeth amid a flurry of bubbles. Captioned READER REQUEST: "BLACKBEARD AND A HIPPO BRUSHING THEIR TEETH" BY EBI. A pure gag decorative one-off, unrelated to the chapter’s main-plot content (the Onigashima raid scattering across the Skull Dome floors — Yamato spiriting Momonosuke down through Franky’s blasted hole; Law speaking his full name “Trafalgar D. Water Law” to Robin; Kid magnetically hoarding the castle’s scrap metal; Big Mom climbing back toward the roof). Verified directly on-page: the title strip reads only the chapter title “ISLAND OF THE STRONGEST” with the “READER REQUEST … BY EBI” credit — no recurring cover-serial banner and no “Vol. N” installment counter — so it is logged here as standalone decorative B&W title art, not a serialized installment and not a cover→main-plot crossover. (Context: the immediately-preceding numbered serial, Limited-Cover-Series-No-24-Gang-Beges-Oh-My-Family, concluded on-cover at @0994 (“Fin”), so from @0995 the Wano title slot reverted to standalone reader-request one-offs — @0995, @0996 and @0997 are consecutive members of this bin.) (Per chapter note Notable panels: “no ongoing cover serial this chapter.”) (p. 1)
  • Ch. 1018 “Jimbei vs. Who’s-Who” (B&W chapter-title page — reader “Request” gag, no series caption)the chapter tracked this run. Page 1 reader-request illustration: Page One as a child trying to read a book of dinosaurs, interrupted by his sister Ulti — a young Page One sits cross-legged absorbed in a book labeled “DINOSAURS” while a grown-up Ulti (in her saurian-skull horn headgear) leans in pestering him to come play, the pair surrounded by plush stuffed dinosaurs and dino tails. Captioned READER REQUEST: "PAGE ONE AS A CHILD TRYING TO READ A BOOK OF DINOSAURS AND BEING INTERRUPTED BY ULTI, WHO WANTS HIM TO PLAY WITH HER AND HER STUFFED DINOSAURS" (GROWN-UP VERSION) BY HONEYLICKER. A pure gag decorative one-off — a Page-One/Ulti sibling beat (the older sister pestering her bookish younger brother), unrelated to the chapter’s main-plot content (Otama’s cheek-dango Headliner-flips; the two CP-0 agents scoring the raid like Reversi; the Jimbei vs. Who’s-Who duel and the first on-page naming of the Sun God Nika). Verified directly on-page: the title strip reads only the chapter title “JIMBEI VS. WHO’S-WHO” with the “READER REQUEST … BY HONEYLICKER” credit — no recurring cover-serial banner and no “Vol. N” installment counter — so it is logged here as standalone decorative B&W title art, not a serialized installment and not a cover→main-plot crossover, and in particular not a No. 24 “Gang Bege’s Oh My Family” installment — 1018 is an off-chapter reader-request page; the No. 24 serial runs the cover slot on the Bege-bearing chapters. (Per chapter note Notable panels: “Not a serialized cover story.”) (p. 1)
  • Ch. 1020 “Robin vs. Black Maria” (B&W chapter-title page — reader “Request” gag, no series caption)the chapter tracked this run. Page 1 reader-request illustration: Denjiro dreaming of eating a giant shrimp tempura as he chews his own pompadourDenjiro in his Kyoshiro persona (the outsized curly afro-pompadour, seated in big-circle-patterned Wano robes, a second yakuza-faced figure slumped at lower-left) idly biting a strand of his own pompadour, while a thought-bubble above shows his true topknotted samurai self reaching for an enormous shrimp tempura. Captioned READER REQUEST: "DENJIRO DREAMING OF EATING A GIANT SHRIMP TEMPURA AS HE CHEWS HIS OWN POMPADOUR" BY 420 LAND. A pure gag decorative one-off (a play on Denjiro/Kyoshiro’s enormous curly pompadour, here chewed like noodles as he dreams of tempura), unrelated to the chapter’s main-plot content (Kaido naming Yamato’s Okuchi-no-Makami wolf fruit and his weapons-factory design for Wano; Robin vs. Black Maria with Brook; Black Maria’s Ohara-dead illusion mist; washed-ashore Luffy at Tokage Port asking the child Momonosuke to turn dragon and fly him back to the roof). Verified directly on-page: the title strip reads only the chapter title “ROBIN VS. BLACK MARIA” with the “READER REQUEST … BY 420 LAND” credit — no recurring cover-serial banner and no “Vol. N” installment counter — so it is logged here as standalone decorative B&W title art, not a serialized installment and not a cover→main-plot crossover, and in particular not a No. 24 “Gang Bege’s Oh My Family” installment — 1020 is an off-chapter reader-request page in the Onigashima-raid stretch. (Per chapter note Notable panels: “Standalone reader-request art, not a serial cover story.”) (p. 1)
  • Ch. 1029 “The Tower” (B&W chapter-title page — reader “Request” gag, no series caption)the chapter tracked this run. Page 1 reader-request illustration: Bonney having a soba-eating contest with some ottersJewelry Bonney (bear-eared cap, slurping noodles) at a counter beside a towering stack of empty bowls, racing a row of soba-slurping otters who are likewise burying themselves in bowls. Captioned READER REQUEST: "BONNEY HAVING A SOBA- EATING CONTEST WITH SOME OTTERS" BY ARINKO. A pure gag decorative one-off (Bonney’s bottomless appetite — a running visual joke since her Sabaody debut — pitted against otters in a noodle-eating race), unrelated to the chapter’s main-plot content (the three parallel Onigashima fights: Sanji’s emerging Germa exoskeleton vs. Queen; Kid vs. a recovered Big Mom on the Live Floor; Killer defeating Hawkins by exploiting the no-conduit / missing-left-arm flaw in his damage-transfer). Verified directly on-page: the title strip reads only the chapter title “THE TOWER” with the “READER REQUEST … BY ARINKO” credit — no recurring cover-serial banner and no “Vol. N” installment counter — so it is logged here as standalone decorative B&W title art, not a serialized installment and not a cover→main-plot crossover. (Per chapter note Notable panels: “One-shot request, not a serial cover story.”) (p. 1)
  • Ch. 1032 “Oden’s Beloved Blade” (B&W chapter-title page — reader “Request” gag, no series caption)the chapter tracked this run. Page 1 reader-request illustration: black cats and Yamato making deliveriesYamato (horned, in her Wano garb) striding along a cloud-dotted country road pointing the way, while two black cats in striped parcel-carrier garb haul wrapped packages behind her; Kozuki Oden’s face floats in a thought- balloon at upper-left. Captioned READER REQUEST: "BLACK CATS AND YAMATO MAKING DELIVERIES" BY KOKORO FUKADA. A pure gag decorative one-off — a brand pun on Kuroneko Yamato (クロネコヤマト, “Black Cat Yamato”), Japan’s ubiquitous Yamato Transport parcel-delivery service whose mascot is a mother black cat carrying her kitten: Yamato-the-character plus the company’s black-cat couriers, the daughter literally thinking of Oden as she “delivers.” It is unrelated to the chapter’s main-plot content (Zoro vs. King and the Imperial-Stake / King’s-race tell; Yamato chasing the fire apparition toward the Armory; CP0 hunting X Drake; the spy photographing CP0 for Morgans; Hiyori’s shamisen luring Orochi in the Treasure Repository). Verified directly on-page: the title strip reads only the chapter title “ODEN’S BELOVED BLADE” with the “READER REQUEST … BY KOKORO FUKADA” credit — no recurring cover-serial banner and no “Vol. N” installment counter — so it is logged here as standalone decorative B&W title art, not a serialized installment and not a cover→main-plot crossover. (Per chapter note Notable panels: “A standalone reader-request piece (not the serialized Bonney cover arc); decorative, no B-plot.”) (p. 1)

Notes

  • status: ongoing (open register-bin) — kept open because the Wano Country arc can ride further standalone reader-request gag title pages on adjacent chapters; subsequent gags are appended here, not forked, as each chapter is processed. Re-key to concluded and seal the bin if/when a successor numbered or banner-bearing cover serial (a hypothetical No. 24) takes over the slot.
  • No payoff_chapter / no technique/cover-story-payoff Foreshadowing entry: these are decorative reader-request one-offs, not a tracked cover plot that rejoins main canon (contrast the textbook Caribou→Wano and Hachi/Camie→Sabaody cover→main crossovers).
  • Predecessor serial (now concluded on-cover): Limited-Cover-Series-No-23-The-Saga-of-the-Self-Proclaimed-Straw-Hat-Fleet — the No. 23 “Saga of the Self-Proclaimed Straw Hat Fleet” anthology that carried the Dressrosa / Whole-Cake / early-Wano cover slots, which ended at Vol. 46 @0919. No successor numbered serial is on-page yet (the Wano slot now runs request one-offs).
  • @0921 exception: chapter @0921 “For Love of Oden” carries a plot-integrated title page (the Oden Castle war council, p. 3) — not a reader-request gag — so it is not a member of this bin.
  • Sibling bins (same register): Whole-Cake-Island-Reader-Request-Title-Pages, Dressrosa-Reader-Request-Title-Pages, Return-to-Sabaody-Reader-Request-Title-Pages — the prior arc-level reader-request one-off bins, with the same on-page structural test (title + “REQUEST” credit, no serial banner, no “Vol. N” counter).
