Profile

A young Shandian girl, introduced this chapter (Ch. 249, page 6 caption “Shandian — Aisa”). She repeatedly sneaks into Upper Yard despite Enel’s lethal “survival game” and is set up as a child unusually drawn to (and aware of) the holy land — the runway for her later innate Mantra prodigy.

Watches Raki trim Luffy’s hair; teased for being the only one who got to tell the Straw Hats goodbye (pp. 3–4). Says she wants to be like Luffy when she grows up; narrates that “our days of taking up weapons have come to an end” — her peacetime turn after the war. Waves the crew off.

Skypiea — aftermath / Symphony (Ch. 300)

Receives her “treasure” back from Nico Robin (p. 3) and runs to the wounded Wyper’s side (“RAKI!”, p. 3) — the Shandian child reunited with her people’s guerrilla leader.

Skypiea — Mantra points Luffy at the bell (Ch. 285)

The Shandian chief frets she “still isn’t back” as the village evacuates and the sky darkens (page 15).

On the ground with a recovering Luffy; the bird-horse Pierre is crushed under debris (“BIRD-HORSE! I’m so sorry…! you were trying to protect me!”, page 15). Stays with the group as Luffy resolves to chase the Maxim (pages 15-16).

Skypiea — rides Pierre to save Luffy (Ch. 282)

Escapes the giant snake with Luffy and lands in the Shandora ruins, wondering if they are “our homeland” (p. 13).

Swallowed by the giant snake alongside Luffy and Nami; Wyper calls to her from outside as he provokes the serpent — “Don’t fall into the stomach acid, Aisa!!” (p. 5). (The giant snake is not named on-page this chapter.)

Skypiea — imperiled by the serpent (Ch. 269)

Charges recklessly into the top-tier ruins (“That idiot…!”) and is nearly swallowed by the laughing giant serpent — “CHOMP!” (pp. 15-19). Snatched free at the last moment by Gan Fall’s bird-mount Pierre (p. 19). Reunites in the chaos near Nami and Zoro. (The giant serpent is not named on-page this chapter.)

Present with the captive Blue-Sea group when Enel descends; her “HO HO HO!!” laugh punctuates the scene as Enel departs (p. 7). (Inference: the child is among Conis’s group on Upper Yard.)

Skypiea — the crying child (Ch. 256) — empathic distance-sensing seed

On-page in the Shandian village, held by another woman (her “auntie”), she bursts into tears as the pre-battle tension peaks; a villager notes she always cries when there’s trouble — “whenever there is tension in the village… the poor dear bursts into tears” (pp. 5-6). Early Mantra-empathy seed (the child-prodigy vector — she later “feels” people and deaths at a distance). The sacred Vearth bombarded at the start of the assault is called “Aisa’s treasure” (p. 7). Skypiea — Varse (Ch. 253) — named, not shown: the “Varse” treasure

Named (not shown in person this chapter): the bagful of “Varse”/dirt that enrages Wyper turns out to be Aisa’s treasure — Wyper had made her “a rash promise” to collect it, and Kamakiri was wounded protecting it (p18-19). Skypiea (Ch. 251) — innate Mantra demonstrated: reads distant deaths

Pays off the 0249 runway: her innate Mantra is now demonstrated on-page. Untrained, she reports to Wyper that two of Enel’s vassals (plus probably one of the Kami’s vassals) “blinked out at about the same time,” reading the intruders’ distant victories before the guerrillas can see them (pp. 2-3). Skypiea (Ch. 249)

First appearance, named on-page. Wayward Shandian child who keeps sneaking to Upper Yard — scolded that “that game could cost you your life” and warned she has “varse” (vearth/soil) in her bag (pages 6–7).
Brash and defiant, she taunts that the Shandians will never beat Enel: “Anyway, it’s not like you’ll ever beat Eneru!!” (page 6), provoking the warriors (“That brat…”, page 7).
It was Aisa whom Gan Fall once saved from Enel’s punishment, an intervention for which Gan Fall was branded a criminal by Enel (page 9). She watches the war council fearfully alongside the other villagers (pages 11–12).

Etymology

Surface meaning: アイサ Aisa, written 秋沙 — Japanese for “merganser,” a fish-eating sea-duck (Oda, SBS Vol. 32 p.146).
Pattern: Follows Oda’s recurring theme of naming female characters after birds (cf. the Skypiea/sky register; Conis, etc.). Fitting for a sky-island child whose innate Mantra gives her a wide, bird-like awareness of distant people and deaths — the youngest known Observation-Haki user.
Confidence: high (SBS-sourced). Supersedes the earlier “愛 ai/love” guess.
