Summary

On Upper Yard the survival game grinds toward its climax. Aisa, riding with Conis and Pagaya, uses mantra to “hear” the Blue Sea people’s voices winking out across the forest and is terrified by how many are fading (p. 2). Gan Fall flies off on Pierre to pursue Enel despite Conis’s protests (pp. 3-4). Conis and Pagaya reach Nami and the wounded Chopper by waver-boat and reveal they have cut a new river with a Milky Dial to ferry survivors directly out to the White-White Sea; Aisa refuses to flee, declaring herself “a warrior of Shandora” (pp. 4-6). Elsewhere Robin defends the Shandian ruins and their hieroglyphs from Yama’s “Mountain Belly,” trading the chapter’s thesis line — “Fools who don’t respect the past are doomed to repeat it” — as she fights to keep the relics intact (pp. 7-11). The title bout pits Kamakiri (with a battered Wyper) against Enel: Kamakiri lands a “Burn Blade,” but Enel, declaring “I am lightning… I am that providence,” shrugs off even the Reject Dial and answers with a massive lightning discharge — Varie — that silences twenty mantra-voices and arcs all the way to the new Milky Road (pp. 12-17). A two-hour timeskip closes the chapter: of the 81 original fighters, 56 have fallen; 25 remain — 13 of the Kami’s forces, 7 Shandians, and 5 Straw Hats — and Enel declares the “real hunt” begins (pp. 18-19).
