Summary

The Shandian war drum sounds. Aisa’s innate Mantra confirms to Wyper and the guerrillas that two of Enel’s vassals are down “for the count” — and probably one of the Kami’s vassals too — which Wyper reads as heaven answering their prayers: now is the moment to attack. On the temple side, Enel coldly registers that Satori “let his Mantra slip” and fell, that the Blue Sea intruders are no ordinary people, and that things are heating up at the Sacrificial Altar; he glares that there will be “no dawn” for Enel’s enemies as the sun sets. Gan Fall (with the dog-priest’s hound Holly) narrates the Priests’ status: Shura took out the Sky Knight, but the intruders overcame Satori’s Ball Ordeal. Meanwhile the Straw Hats split: Usopp pilots Karasumaru, the dial-ship, safely out of the Forest of No Return toward Upper Yard, where Sanji, Luffy and Chopper reunite with him; and Nami, taking the “leader” role, brings the group to the seaside of Upper Yard to verify something she glimpsed. There she delivers the chapter’s bombshell — Upper Yard is not made of cloud like the other floating islands but is real ground torn from a cliff edge, “a fragment of what we saw on the ground,” with half-fake buildings — it is part of Jaya. The “El Dorado” Noland claimed was once on the ground did not sink 400 years ago; the missing half of Jaya floated up into the sky. As the chapter closes, the Shandians charge (“we will bring back the light of Shandora!”) and the Priests at the temple sense them arriving.
