Shandian Warriors
Profile
The war-faction guerrilla band of the Shandians — the displaced native people of the land that became Upper Yard — waging a centuries-long guerrilla war to reclaim their homeland from Enel’s regime and “bring back the light of Shandora,” their lost city. They venerate the great warrior Kalgara (Calgara). Field-led by Wyper, Calgara’s descendant.

Crew lineage
The Shandian Warriors descend from the ancient Shandians who guarded Shandora; their cause is inherited from Calgara’s final order. See Shandians.
Notable events
- Ch. 251 — the named war-band musters and launches the all-out assault on the Kami’s temple while Upper Yard is in turmoil (pp. 11-13). Aisa’s Mantra reads two of Enel’s vassals down; Wyper rallies the band (“Do not fear the false Kami!! The spirit of the great warrior Kalgara will watch over us!!”). - Ch. 252 — the masked guerrillas, led by Wyper, ambush Nami’s party near the Sacrificial Altar (pp. 5-9), identified as “the same masked guerrillas we saw on the White Sea” (Ch. 237 glimpse). They threaten to “erase” the blue-sea intruders “along with Eneru” (p. 8) — confirming the band is the enemy of BOTH the Straw Hats AND Enel’s regime (NOT his agents); Nami’s group realizes “the guerrillas and the Kami aren’t on the same side.” Armed with bazookas/cannons; the same raiding force burned the Going Merry’s mast at the altar. - Ch. 261 — Genbo (iron Vearth bullets) fights Enel’s Commander Yama of the Heavenly Warriors (pp. 7-11); Wyper conserves his Reject Dial for Enel (pp. 4-5). Nico Robin’s reading of the Shandora memorial (p. 12) frames the Shandians as the heirs/descendants who built the memorial after the city fell — grounding the guerrillas’ “ancestral land” claim in fallen Shandora.
