Ritchie roars center-frame with a striped staff overhead; Mohji reappears on the far right with a Buggy-flag; a massive fallen lion-head sleeps at the bottom-foreground. The cover-story’s pivot: Mohji has rejoined the cover-arc, and the fall of Ritchie’s pseudo-crew is in progress.

The chapter proper opens on the Baratie deck mid-aftermath of the Ch. 60 MH5 deployment. Gin is convulsing face-down on the boards (SHAKE SHAKE / KOFF / ACK), poisoned by the residual MH5 gas-cloud. Don Krieg (page 2, hand-raised dismissive gesture): ‘A fool who lost sight of what was important and refused to obey my orders… is of no use to me. Killing him like this is a kindness. Who’s to say he won’t betray me again?’ The Ch. 60 MH5-feint-was-shuriken-bomb read is structurally amended — the MH5 was a hybrid-payload round: shuriken-bomb explosive + small-area poison-gas residual. Gin caught a whiff. The Krieg-Pirates’ moral-conscience officer is poisoned by his own captain’s weapon.
