Chapter 1083: The Truth of That Day

Summary

A Reverie-flashback interlude (no Egghead scenes). At the Kamabakka Queendom, Sabo gives his after-action report to the Revolutionary Army leadership (Dragon, Emporio Ivankov): he completed all three of his Reverie objectives — destroy the Celestial Dragons’ symbol, free as many slaves as possible, and destroy their food stockpile — while drawing the world’s attention and crippling the supply lines into Mary Geoise. Eight nations have revolted, one (the Kingdom of Lulucia) “vanished mysteriously without a trace,” and seven now stand under new leadership. Framed by the World Government for King Cobra’s assassination, Sabo is begged by the Army to tell “the truth behind this article.” The chapter then flashes back one month earlier to the Reverie: the four directional commanders — Karasu (North), Lindbergh (South), Morley (West) and Belo Betty (East) — storm Mary Geoise to free slaves and take back Kuma, Karasu’s crow-flock power named on-page as the Soot-Soot Fruit. Two Admirals, Fujitora and Ryokugyu, are present in the Holy Land. Sabo learns Kuma has been moved to Pangaea Castle and vows the WG will never use him as a weapon. Finally, King Cobra’s Alabasta delegation is shown: only Cobra is permitted a private audience with the Five Elders, and he sends Chaka and Pell to guard Vivi while he attends.
