- Elbaf's three stacked realms are Norse-cosmology coded onto the Yggdrasil-analog Treasure (Jewel) Tree Adam. TOP = 天界 (Tenkai, 'Heaven / celestial realm') → VIZ 'Astral World' (≈ Asgard, the gods' world in Yggdrasil's highest branches; 'astral' = star/celestial). MIDDLE = 'Sun World', the giants' inhabited level 'where the sun's rays reach' (≈ Midgard, the human/inhabited middle world). BOTTOM = 冥界 (Meikai, 'the netherworld / realm of the dead'), in local legend the 'First World' 第一世界 (Daiichi Sekai) → VIZ 'Underworld' (≈ Hel / Niflheim, the death-realm beneath a root of Yggdrasil — ruled in the Poetic Edda by a child of Loki, mirroring Prince Loki's imprisonment there). What we know
Elbaf is built on a colossal tree and divided into three stacked levels (Ch. 1132 p.13):
- Ch. 1132: Astral World — the top level.
- Ch. 1132: Sun World — the middle level, “where the sun’s rays reach”; the giants’ villages are here.
- Ch. 1132: Underworld — the bottom level, connected to the Sun World by a rope bridge (p.8). The physical place is tracked at The Underworld (the giants’ “First World” / prison plane — DISTINCT from this cosmology concept).
A diagram (p.13) shows the three worlds on the great tree. The formal name of the realm is the Kingdom of Warland (“Elbaph Island”), commonly simplified to “Elbaf” (p.16). Travel between levels uses solid, rideable rainbows that the giants “draw” with “painters” — ships sail straight up them (pp. 4–7). The village splash invokes “the Gargantuan” — likely the great tree or the colossal scale of the land (p.14). A Norse world-tree (Yggdrasil-coded) structure built on the Jewel Tree Adam.
