Punk Hazard (Ch. 676) — reborn as the “Land of the Dead” gas
- Devours the candy “bait” (pp. 3-4), swells open into a vast maw (p. 6), and at Caesar’s command is “reborn” — detonating into the island-wide petrification gas Caesar names Land of the Dead (pp. 7-8). Smiley’s slime-body “turns into smoke” / gas (p. 9).
Punk Hazard (Ch. 675) — reforms into the “Land of the Dead” weapon
- Identified by Caesar as “an incarnation of the toxic H₂S gas” — the weapon he used to kill Punk Hazard four years ago. Its scattered fragments (“Smiles”) launch from the burning side and coalesce at the center of the icy side into the whole Smiley (p. 13).
- Force-fed an enormous “special food,” it transforms into a “perfect killing machine” Caesar names “Land of the Dead” (p. 14) — the prior flaw (victims could evacuate weakened) now fixed.
- Shown as a vast gelatinous monster that melts the dragon-sled with a chemical coating and devours one of Vegapunk’s small dragons (pp. 16-17); surges after Caesar’s fleeing gas-suited soldiers (pp. 18-19). Caesar greets it with affection (“SMILEYYY!! Oh, how I’ve missed you!!”, p. 18).

Punk Hazard (Ch. 673) — named “Smiley”; awakens and self-replicates
- Its proper name “Smiley” is printed on-page via an info box: “Master’s pet (gel-form poison gas that ate the Sala-Sala Fruit, Axolotl Model)” (p. 9) — confirming its Sala-Sala Fruit, Axolotl Model Zoan.
- Caesar “wakes” it to launch a “big experiment”; it rises from the center lake into a colossal axolotl form and begins self-replicating — shooting copies of itself across the island while its main body shrinks (“can it produce an infinite number of copies?!”, pp. 8-11). Cutting it releases gas; burning it causes an explosion (p. 12).
Punk Hazard (Ch. 668) — Caesar releases his “little pet”
- When G-5 and the Straw Hats converge on the lab, Caesar orders “the door” opened on the fire side to release it, declaring “no one’s getting off this island alive” (p. 15).
- Surges out as a mountainous, eyed mass of black-and-white slime and consumes his own fleeing men (pp. 16–20). Introduced on its own card: “Inhabitant of Punk Hazard: Slime” (p. 18).
