• The captors of the snowy-mountain chase are revealed in the chapter’s intro banner as the Yeti Cool Brothers — Scotch & Rock, “Snowy Mountain Assassins” (p. 7): face-hidden snipers who never show their faces, track footprints through the snow, lay ice-spike traps, and fire “rifles like cannons” loaded with poison rounds and K.Y.P. gas that drops targets into an alcohol-induced stupor (p. 13).
