Summary

On Zou, the Sanji-retrieval team (Sanji, Nami, Chopper, Brook) is trapped inside Capone “Gang” Bege’s body — his “castle” — where Bege delivers a wedding invitation: Groom — third son of Vinsmoke, Sanji; Bride — thirty-fifth daughter of Charlotte, Pudding. The reveal that Sanji’s family name is Vinsmoke and that he was born in the North Blue stuns the crew, who only ever knew him from the East. Bege explains that Charlotte is Big Mom’s family name, so the marriage would fold the Straw Hats into Big Mom’s hierarchy, and announces he is taking them all to “Mama.” Bege’s advisor Vito the Phantom Gun menaces them; Bege demonstrates he can warp the space inside his castle, sinking Nami into the floor. Sanji, realizing his “Only Alive” bounty poster ties the wedding-arranger to whoever wants him taken alive, writes a note, blasts Nami, Chopper, and Brook out of the castle to safety, and chooses to surrender alone to protect the crew and stop his past from endangering them. Outside, a giant beast looms, Pekoms lies gravely wounded, and the mink Wanda restrains the team. Brook reads Sanji’s note — “I’m gonna meet a woman. I will be back. — Sanji” — and grimly senses Sanji does not truly intend to come back.
