Gaban

Lineage: a cross-race household on Elbaf — the human ex-Roger Pirates officer Scopper Gaban, his common-law giantess wife Ripley, and their half-human/half-giant son Collun. No shared surname; bound by a mixed-blood family, not a name.

A cross-race household on Elbaf revealed Ch. 1139: the human ex-Roger Pirates officer Scopper Gaban (“the Left Arm of the Pirate King,” epithet “Mountain-Eater”), his common-law wife the giantess Ripley (80, biology teacher at the Walrus School), and their half-human/half-giant son Collun (20, “took on a lot of giant’s blood”). No shared surname appears on-page; Gaban never formally married Ripley (“won’t marry” her because he ages and she does not — “marrying a giant’s not worth it!!”). A living example of the “mixed-blood peoples” Gaban preaches about (see Mixed-Blood Races).

Why this family matters (plot weight)

Oda plants a concrete human/giant hybrid lineage at the heart of the Elbaf arc — a formidable hidden legend (Gaban) living among the giants with a half-giant child. Ties directly into the arc’s giant/human blended-peoples themes (see Mixed-Blood Races) and pays off the deliberately-unnamed “Ripley’s husband” seed (see Ripley’s human husband and the half-giant child).
