Arc-by-arc updates
Fish-Man Island — the Tamatebox-bomb whisper (Ch. 653)
- With King Neptune and the Minister of the Right, frets over the decade-old bomb hidden in the treasure tribute sent to Big Mom — “you planted this bomb a decade ago, yes?” (p. 5). See The Tamatebox Is Bomb-Armed And Handed To Big Mom As Tribute.
Fish-Man Island — the evacuation order (Ch. 642)
Fish-Man Island — defeated at the plaza (Ch. 631)
- Defeated alongside the Neptune Army at Conchcorde Plaza; mourns that Queen Otohime’s dream “was finally going to come true with this year’s Reverie” — “and now this” (pp. 4-5).
Fish-Man Island flashback — counsels Neptune (Ch. 627) — shown (flashback)
- Talks King Neptune out of avenging Otohime: “killing someone only makes you a part of the cycle of murder,” and the assassin’s death means “no one will ever know what started this chain of vengeance” (p. 6) — the buried-truth tell. See Queen Otohimes Assassination Ten Years Ago Shook Fish-Man Island.
- Admits “I had no right to help Otohime with her movement, so I just stood by and watched over her”; says “there are some things that only a warrior can protect” (p. 7).
Fish-Man Island Arc — Otohime’s protector (flashback, Ch. 621)
- “Fish-Man Island, 16 years ago.” Addressed as “Minister of the Left” (p. 11). Frames Queen Otohime’s coexistence dream as “exactly like the one our forebears sought to create centuries ago,” and charges the listener to protect her: “I can’t stop Otohime, so you must protect her!” (p. 11). See Otohime’s Dream Is The Ancient Kingdom’s Centuries-Old Coexistence Goal.
Fish-Man Island Arc (Ch. 612)
- Captioned on-page (p. 15) as the catfish-merman Minister of the Left of Ryugu Kingdom.
- With the Minister of the Right, scolds King Neptune for leaving Ryugu Castle without his guards, and relays that Prince Fukaboshi has sent “important news” to the castle — Fukaboshi himself is off “wandering around in the Divine Sanctuary” (pp. 14-15).
