Earliest known caller

Widely-cited fandom-canon — Kureha’s Ch. 154 lineage-recognition beat (“…the will of ‘D.’… lives on.”) is the in-text earliest caller; her recognition predates the on-page utterance of Ace’s D. by three chapters.

Why this matters

Extends the Will of D ledger silently. Pre-loads the Dr. Kureha Will of D. exposition that lands later in this arc. The Portgaz surname is a misdirection — forward-canon: Ace’s birth-name is Gol D. Ace. The D. is the genetic tell that Oda drops without comment, trusting the reader to register the pattern after Roger, Luffy, and Dragon.

The Ch. 154 Kureha-lineage-recognition beat (Kureha Will of D Lives On Doctrine) was the off-page-evidence-tier version of this reveal — Kureha saw the lineage without the D. being uttered. Ch. 157 is the on-page-text-tier confirmation — the D. is in the caption.
