A Hidden Dressrosa Resistance Plots To Topple Doflamingo

Ch. 709 — p. 19 — the underground resistance
In the coliseum’s crowd-seating concourse, two parties realize they are both secretly plotting to destroy “the factory.” One declares it “a crucial piece to overthrowing the country ” and offers, to anyone with “the fortitude and conviction to stand up to Doflamingo ,” to reveal “the entire truth about the tragic nation of Dressrosa ” — while insisting they must “save those who are working there.”
Ch. 713 — the dwarves’ “captain” and his Riku Royal Army await the uprising
The Tontatta dwarves of Tontatta Kingdom reveal an organized anti-Donquixote coalition: “the captain an’ his Riku Royal Army ” wait in Dressrosa for “the final battle” against the Donquixote Family , timed to “the vewy day we vowed to fight back” (pp. 18-19). First surfacing of the Riku name (Riku ) and of the human + dwarf rebellion converging on Dressrosa.
Ch. 721 — the coup recast as liberation (the Crocodile / Alabasta mirror)
Flashback (~10 years prior): the “Riku royal army ” torches Dressrosa’s own towns and palace, after which Doflamingo is crowned to public acclaim and recasts the centuries-old Riku dynasty as greedy oppressors who “sank to stealing valuables from their citizens.” The entire populace uniformly accepts this — even children who personally like Rebecca still parrot that “her grandpa was the enemy of the people.” The structure mirrors Crocodile ’s Alabasta coupnegative space — the unnatural totality of the public’s amnesia/hatred toward the Rikus — seeds a manufactured or actively-erased history of Dressrosa.
Ch. 727 — the “tragic truth” revealed: Doflamingo’s Parasite frame-up
The toy soldier (Thunder Soldier ) finally tells the hidden history the @0709 seed promised — “the entire truth about the tragic nation of Dressrosa.” Flashback (~10 years ago): Doflamingo extorted King Riku Parasite ” strings to puppet the king (and the royal soldiers) into massacring the disarmed citizens — manufacturing the nationwide hatred that toppled the monarchy so a “hero” could be begged for (pp. 6–19). This confirms the manufactured-history premise behind the native Dressrosa resistance.
Ch. 728 — the deposed king is kept alive (folds “King Riku Lives Hidden Awaiting Vindication”·0728)
The flashback closes the frame-up: Doflamingo is crowned the new king, but King Riku is sparedstill out there, alive, somewhere in this country ” (pp. 11–13), and his daughter Princess Viola (Violet ) bargains her service to Doflamingo to keep him alive (p. 12). A beloved, framed king kept secretly alive while a hostage-bargain protects him is an explicit pointer to his eventual return and the public clearing of his name. Ch. 728 — “the number of tragedies that hold the key” (folds “The Number Of Tragedies Holds The Key To Dressrosa”·0728)
The chapter title (“The Number of Tragedies”) and the toys’ framing — every toy remembers being human and hates Doflamingo , “the number of tragedies that hold the key ” to the operation (p. 16), with the memory-erasure named “the greatest tragedy of Dressrosa ” (p. 15) — flag the city’s hidden, forgotten victims as the resistance’s decisive lever: undo the erasure and Dressrosa’s forgotten become a rebel army. Ch. 732 — the “Riku Army” named on the resistance HQ (folds “The Riku Name Behind The Dressrosa Resistance Army”·0732)
The underground operation HQ in the Flower Field is captioned “RIKU ARMY’s Operation HQ ” (p. 2) — attaching the Riku name directly to the anti-Doflamingo resistance running the infiltration, the first present-day fixing of the deposed dynasty as the banner of the uprising. Ch. 734 — the “abdication” was a cover story (folds “King Rikus Abdication Was Doflamingos Cover Story”·0734)
Doflamingo holds the dethroned King Riku report of his abdication… was a mistake ” (pp. 15–16). A king who supposedly stepped down willingly is in fact captive — confirming the public account of the regime change is a fabricated cover story, and seeding the eventual exposure of the framed coup. Ch. 750 — the resistance goes overt on the Royal Plateau
The Dressrosa underground steps into the open: the colosseum gladiators, the Tontatta , the Riku family (Viola , King Riku ) and the Straw Hats all converge up the Royal Plateau, each faction declaring it will take Doflamingo ’s head — the planned uprising in open execution. Ch. 753 — pp. 8–11 — two prongs of the native resistance advance at once
Restored citizens at Sevio reckon with their toy-era crimes and plan to funnel everyone to the royal plateau to end the “game” without killing (pp. 8–9), while the enslaved factory dwarves revolt once told the Mansherry cure was a lie (pp. 10–11). Ch. 758 — the anti-Sugar operation pays off; the royal line acts openly
The resistance’s plan to neutralize Sugar reaches its decisive beat: Usopp permanently sidelines Sugar with his long-range snipe, and King Riku publicly rallies the citizens as their king — “None of us will flee!! Stop right here, my people!!!” — the Riku line and the dwarf/toy army acting openly against Doflamingo (p.8-10, p.15). The payoff
Ch. 791 — the resistance succeeds; Doflamingo overthrown
Doflamingo is defeated, his Birdcage and rule vanish (pp. 7, 10), and the citizens, gladiators and former toys reclaim Dressrosa “to restore the honor of the deposed King Riku ” and “take back our freedom” (pp. 16–17). The native underground’s stated objective — overthrow Doflamingo , expose the hidden tragedy, free the kingdom — is realized.
