Usopp Sees Their Spirits Observation Haki Awakening
Status: pending · Technique: chekhov-explicit / prop-tell
The seed
Ch. 758 pp. 11–12 — “I can see… their spirit!!!”
Forced into a shot at a target he physically cannot see (Sugar , beyond the palace wall), Usopp ’s perception cracks open: “I can see… their spirit!!! ” with a B-DUMP heartbeat over silhouettes of Luffy ’s party (pp. 11–12). His first clear display of Observation Haki , and a payoff of the long line of “Usopp reads motion / mantra-precursor” seeds. Seeds his future sensory / sniping feats.
Ch. 758 pp. 13–15 — the “Bagworm” multi-stage trauma snipe (folded seed)
Named-attack debut: the Great Black Kabuto fires a wrapped, two-stage rocket “Bagworm ” — “First Booster: Exploding Star,” wrapper-shed to horizontal flight, then a second booster — aimed not for a direct hit but to unfold into a giant terror-face that re-traumatizes Sugar into fainting (pp. 13–15). Paired with Viola ’s clairvoyant fire-control (Giro Giro no Mi ), it marks Usopp’s shift from bluff-sniper to calculated long-range artillerist .

Why this matters
Chekhov-explicit + prop-tell: Oda lets the perception literally surface on-page (“I can see their spirit”) at a do-or-die moment, and stages the sniping feat as a diagrammed, self-correcting projectile — both planted as capabilities the reader is primed to see recur and grow. Cross-link Usopp .
