Why this matters

Re-keys the Ch. 155 hook-debut from visual-decoration to combat-grammar: when Crocodile is taking someone seriously, he doesn’t use the sand — he uses the hook. The intangibility-Logia + impalement-prosthesis pairing is structurally unbeatable: opponents can’t grab the hook because his arm passes through their attempts as sand; opponents can’t dodge the hook because his sand-arm extends reach.
