Summary
The roof-of-the-Skull-Dome battle is over: a caption declares the winner is “formerly Kaido,” and the Animal Kingdom Pirates’ supreme commander has been smashed deep into the earth (Pages 2-3, 7). Above Wano, the adult dragon Momonosuke — aided by Yamato keeping it steady — holds the falling island of Onigashima aloft so it does not crash onto the Flower Capital (Pages 2-3, 8). In the capital the Fire Festival reaches a “lively conclusion”: Toko and Tenguyama Hitetsu honor the late Yasuie, and Toko rewrites her sky-lantern wish from “I want to see Daddy” to “Daddy, thank you” — the chapter’s title theme, “there is no greater honor” (Pages 4-6). Chopper, swamped with casualties alongside Miyagi, notes Zoro is out cold and won’t wake (Page 10). Momonosuke telepathically reaches Zunisha and, having “thought long and hard,” resolves “I will not open the borders… yet”; Zunisha trusts his judgment and respects the decision (Pages 10-11). The Beasts Pirates refuse to accept defeat, and Yamato, Sanji, and Franky face them down (Pages 11-12). An underwater volcanic eruption near Udon — the “final drumbeat signaling the end of Kaido” — rocks the seafloor (Pages 13-15). The pink dragon descends over the Flower Capital announcing “Winner: Straw Hat Luffy” and “I am NOT Kaido!!” (Pages 15-16). Through the dust, Hiyori (Komurasaki) and a restored-coiffure Denjiro (Kyoshiro) appear, declaring they have brought “the new shogun of Wano” (Page 17).
New reveals
- Kaido is officially defeated. The roof battle ends with the caption “Winner… formerly Kaido,” and later “Winner: Straw Hat Luffy” (Pages 3, 15). A townsperson confirms Luffy “smashed Kaido all the way deep into the earth” (Page 7).
- Onigashima did not fall on the Flower Capital: Momonosuke turned into a giant dragon and stopped it, with Yamato helping (“Keep her steady!!”) — the long-threatened island-drop is averted (Pages 2-3, 8).
- Momonosuke, now the living Kozuki heir, telepathically communicates with Zunisha and decides “I will not open the borders… yet.” Zunisha replies, “I trust in your judgment… I will respect your decision” (Pages 10-11). The new shogun consciously keeps Wano sealed for now.
- Zoro is in critical condition / out cold and “won’t come to” — Chopper triages him among many patients (Page 10).
- The Beasts Pirates still refuse to surrender (“We’re an Emperor’s crew!! There’s no way Kaido lost!!”); Yamato, Sanji, and Franky stand the alliance’s ground (Pages 11-12).
- The “final drumbeat” of Kaido’s fall manifests as an underwater volcanic eruption near Udon’s excavation labor camp (Pages 13-16).
- Hiyori (Komurasaki) is publicly seen alive — the capital reacts as if to a ghost (“We just held the funeral for her!!”) — and Denjiro’s hair has reverted from the Kyoshiro style; together they present the new shogun of Wano (Page 17).

Open questions raised
- Why does Momonosuke decide not to open Wano’s borders “yet,” and when/how will the seal finally lift?
- How did Hiyori survive, and what is the full “long, long story” behind the Kyoshiro/Denjiro deception?
- Will the holdout Beasts Pirates be subdued, and what happens to the gravely wounded (Zoro, the critical patients)?
- What does the Udon undersea eruption portend for the country’s aftermath?
