The One Piece is Joy Boy's composite testamentary bequest at Laugh Tale — a real treasure trove (Trove) co-located with the completed True-History record (Record), crowned by Joy Boy's message/promise whose consummation is gated on a compound recognition key (Key = the returned Nika/Joy Boy identity, not a weapon-control device); access is claimant-agnostic but meaning is addressed to one

The braid

Record. The completed True History is readable at the site — “we learned the entire truth of the world” (Ch. 967 p.17), the truth Ohara died for (Ch. 395), that the Poneglyph trail was built to deliver (Ch. 507, Ch. 818), and that the regime has severed three times (Ch. 395Ch. 1117Ch. 1119).

Trove. A physically real treasure hoard is co-located with it — “a vast treasure, which was very real indeed” (Ch. 967 p.17); “THE ONE PIECE… DOES EXIST” (Ch. 576). “One Piece” is the world’s coinage for “everything that Roger gained” (Ch. 968) — an estate’s name, not an object’s, and not the Ancient Weapon Roger disclaimed wanting (Ch. 967 p.10).

Key. The crown of the bequest is Joy Boy’s message/promise — the only Laugh-Tale event ever staged on-page (Ch. 967 pp.18-19) — and its consummation is gated on a compound recognition key, not a mechanical one: the Nika rhythm, the name, the D., on the demonstrated Emet architecture (“to be untied only when the time is right,” Ch. 1122 pp.16-17, seeded Ch. 1106). Access is claimant-agnostic (the find-first race of Ch. 1121 pp.15-17 is real; Vegapunk’s wrong-finder warning at Ch. 1121 p.14 is live); meaning is addressed to one. The Key is emphatically not weapon machinery — every cataclysm-class instrument is canonically elsewhere (Ch. 1053, Ch. 649, Ch. 1116), all machinery-claims are in-world hearsay (Ch. 1124, Ch. 1125), and the author-level guards the nature as pure negative space (Ch. 1060).

Register and stakes. The payload reads as joy — a “tale full of laughs,” the island named for its content’s register, a katakana pun guarded 22 years (Ch. 105Ch. 967), drawn in the laugh-before-execution grammar (Ch. 99Ch. 942). Roger’s grief was the era’s (“we were just too early,” Ch. 968 p.5). The frontier confirms the identity-knot is the endgame’s live wire — Imu’s heart pounds at the name (Ch. 1122), executes Saturn over Joy Boy’s escape (Ch. 1125), slashes the posters as “JOYBOY!!”/“Davy Jones!!” (Ch. 1179), greets the return in second person (Ch. 1181) while bound to the throne’s sustaining apparatus (Ch. 1182) — staging the finale as Joy Boy’s inherited promise (Ch. 649, Ch. 1043) against Imu’s Domination trinity (Ch. 1168, Ch. 1181).
