Summary

Wanda narrates the catastrophe that befell Mokomo Dukedom roughly two weeks earlier. In flashback, Kaido’s Animal Kingdom Pirates breach the city gates: an enormous ancient mammoth and a column of horned brutes pour into peaceful Kurau City demanding a single thing — the surrender of a “samurai” of Wano named Raizo. Their commander is revealed as Jack the Drought, a trusted confidant of the Emperor Kaido, Lead Performer of the crew and captain of the Mammoth, one of three close associates each named after a disaster; his Gifters’ leader Sheepshead and the officer Ginrummy press the demand. The minks insist Raizo is not there and that, by mink law, even their suckling babes and elders are natural-born fighters; they counterattack with Electro and the legendary Musketeers. When the dukedom’s lord refuses to “speak,” Jack transforms into a mammoth and the Gifters charge, turning Kurau City into a battlefield. Back in the present, the Straw Hats (Luffy, Usopp, Nami, Brook) absorb that the attackers were followers of an Emperor; Luffy is mostly disappointed that the mammoth — and the ninja Kin’emon spoke of — are no longer here. Wanda leads them up to Duke Dogstorm’s Sanatorium, where the volcanic lion-mink Musketeer captain Full-Power Shishilian is busy terrorizing cubs for sentimental talk. Inside lies Duke Dogstorm, the bandaged King of the Day, who thanks the Straw Hats for saving his people. Asked how he could have lost, Dogstorm explains the enemy was no ordinary foe: the thing that destroyed his dukedom was one of Caesar Clown’s gas weapons.
