- The claim
- The legendary Iron Giant 'Emet' — built ~900 years ago, which climbed the Red Line and attacked Sacred Mariejois ~200 years ago before running out of energy (@1067), and which the monster-form Five Elders identify in the present as 'the iron giant that attacked Mariejois 200 years ago' (@1117) — is a WAR-MACHINE / soldier of the lost Void-Century Ancient Kingdom that fought the World Government's twenty-founder progenitors. Its reawakening on Egghead (it STIRS to Luffy's Nika 'drums of liberation' @1106, shields Vegapunk's truth-broadcast and its eyes reignite @1116, then battles the Gorosei @1117) is the Ancient Kingdom's cause RESUMING in the present, on the liberators' / Joy-Boy side. FORWARD-GUARD: the giant's proper-name etymology, the explicit nature of its irreproducible power source, and its precise bond to Joy Boy are gestured at but NOT explained on-page ≤1117 — those stay forward-unstated. The predictive content is the war-machine-of-the-Ancient-Kingdom IDENTITY and its ALLEGIANCE, neither of which is stated in-frontier.
That the giant attacked Mariejois 200 years ago and reawakens on Egghead is on-page (Ch. 1067, Ch. 1116, Ch. 1117). That is NOT the prediction. This note predicts the still-unstated identity & allegiance: Emet is a constructed soldier of the Void-Century Ancient Kingdom, reactivating on the liberators’ side. The proper-name meaning, the power source’s true nature, and the deeper Joy-Boy bond land forward of 1117 and are not asserted as fact here.
The claim
Reasoning
Converging techniques (4 distinct)
- chekhov-explicit / world-building-exposition — Vegapunk lays out the dates and the Mariejois assault in plain expository dialogue (Ch. 1067); the Gorosei re-assert the Mariejois-attack fact in the present as the machine reawakens (Ch. 1117). An intact Void-Century weapon that once struck the Holy Land is a load-bearing Chekhov’s gun. See The Iron Giant Attacked Mariejois With A Lost Ancient Power Source.
- prop-tell — the giant shields Vegapunk’s transmission (“under its protection”) and its eyes reignite in the final panel (Ch. 1116) while the Five Elders’ attacks do nothing. A dormant ancient construct choosing to defend the truth-broadcast is a prop-tell of allegiance, not blind machinery. See The Iron Giant Emet Shields Vegapunks Broadcast And Reignites.
- parallel-arc-structure — Emet stirs to Luffy’s Nika drum rhythm (Ch. 1106): the Void-Century combatant reactivates in parallel with the present-day liberation beat, structurally pairing the 900-year-old war with the current one. See The Iron Giant Stirs To Luffy’s Nika Drum Rhythm.
- name-etymology (supporting) — “Emet” (Hebrew אֱמֶת, truth) is the word inscribed on a golem to animate it in Jewish folklore (erasing its first letter to met, “death,” deactivates it). The name codes the giant as a made servant animated by/for the truth — consonant with a soldier built by the side that guards the suppressed true history.
Resolution
2026-06-30 — Status: partially-confirmed via Ch. 1120.
What happened: Post-filing (frontier was 1117), Ch. 1120 puts Emet’s allegiance and identity directly on-page: the reawakened Iron Giant is explicitly “a 900-year-old weapon” (p. 15) that names Luffy “Joyboy,” vows “I get to fight for you again” / “your enemy is my enemy,” frames the Void-Century conflict as “a war 900 years in the past… [heard] from only one side,” and resolves “the time is right… I’m gonna use it” before the Gorosei Ju Peter crushes it — i.e., a Void-Century war-machine, on the liberators’/Joy-Boy side, resuming its cause.
What we got right / wrong: Right — the two flagged predictive residues both landed on direct dialogue: the allegiance (fights for Joy Boy / against the WG-Gorosei, not a neutral relic) and the war-machine-of-the-Void-Century identity (900-year-old weapon, war from “one side”). All three named refuters were anti-fired: it has a side (not a neutral relic), it has will and speaks at length (not dumb stimulus-response), and no non-Ancient-Kingdom origin (Lunarian/giants’/Mother-Flame) was substituted. Hence partial, not full confirmation.
Confidence calibration check:
2026-07-29 — Re-scored at frontier 1189; holds partially-confirmed. Chapters after 1120 deepen the Joy-Boy bond and the power-source picture without stamping the one clause held open. At Ch. 1122 the giant carries a stored “knot of the greatest Haki” locked inside it by a hat-silhouetted child (strongly implied Joy Boy) “to be untied only when the time is right,” and unleashes what reads as Joy Boy’s own Conqueror’s Haki to shield the fleeing crew — “I’ll save you all the way from the past”; Ch. 1123 confirms it covered the escape, and Ch. 1125 dates it to a discovery ~200 years ago, protected on Saturn’s own order. Every refuter is anti-fired: it has a side, it speaks and wills, and the Mother Flame is revealed as a wholly separate WG prize (1123/1125), not Emet’s origin. But no chapter through 1189 labels Emet a soldier of the lost Ancient Kingdom in plain words, and the deeper Joy-Boy identity stays guarded — so the residue that capped this at partial is unchanged.
Supporting evidence
- Ch. 1065 — Shaka reveals Egghead’s “super-future” tech is actually the past — a kingdom “just as highly advanced existed 900 years ago” — and the Iron Giant Emet is unearthed.
- Ch. 1067 — Vegapunk lays out that the robot was built 900 years ago, climbed the Red Line and attacked Sacred Mariejois ~200 years ago, driven by a “dynamic power source” his science cannot reproduce.
- Ch. 1106 — Emet stirs to Luffy’s Nika drum rhythm, reactivating in parallel with the present-day liberation beat.
- Ch. 1116 — Emet shields Vegapunk’s truth-broadcast (“under its protection”) and its eyes reignite while the Five Elders’ attacks do nothing.
- Ch. 1117 — the monster-form Gorosei re-assert the Mariejois-attack fact in the present as the machine reawakens and battles them.
What would refute this
- Neutral relic, no side. Emet is an independent / self-directed construct (a guardian or a different faction’s artifact) whose Mariejois attack carried no Ancient-Kingdom allegiance — it serves only itself.
- Dumb stimulus-response. The “reactivation” is mere resonance with the Nika frequency (a machine waking to a signal), not the resumption of a cause — Emet has no will and takes no side.
- Different origin entirely. Emet and its power source resolve to a non-Ancient-Kingdom lineage (e.g., Lunarian-forged, a giants’ artifact, or tied to the Mother Flame rather than the lost kingdom’s war), severing the “soldier of the Ancient Kingdom” identity.
Calibration note
Filed 0.7 — four converging techniques (chekhov-explicit, prop-tell, parallel-arc-structure, plus name-etymology) put this at the calibration table’s 4-technique ≈ 0.7 mark. Held at 0.7 (not higher) because the **load-bearing content: the in-frontier pages establish the WHAT (it attacked Mariejois, it is Void-Century, it wakes to Nika) but not the WHY / whose-side, which is the predictive residue. Not a universal-quantifier or canon-inversion claim. Builds on (does not duplicate) the 1100-mark Void-Century cluster and the prior Joy-Boy bets.
