- Name meaning
- ふんわり島 Funwari-tō. *Funwari* (ふんわり) is a Japanese mimetic adverb for a soft, light, airy texture — the 'fluffy' mouthfeel of soufflé / chiffon-cake / freshly-risen bread; VIZ renders it 'Fluffy Island.' Continues Totto Land's dessert-texture island-naming theme. Reinforced by its governor Chiffon (herself named for the airy chiffon cake), whose on-page title is the 'Minister of Puffs' (ふんわり大臣 Funwari Daijin).

Profile
An island within Totto Land, shown farther out on the escape-route map Ch. 894 (p. 10). Chiffon proposes luring the craving-stricken Big Mom all the way out here — rather than to the closer Liqueur Island — so that, even cured, she could not quickly resume chasing the Thousand Sunny; Bege resists (pp. 9-10).
Etymology
- “Fluffy” — a soft, airy dessert texture (cf. fluffy sponge / whipped confections); part of Totto Land’s confectionery naming theme.
Key chapters
- Ch. 894 — first named and shown (p. 10) on the escape-route map; Chiffon’s proposed decoy destination for the lured Big Mom.
- Ch. 900 — the site where Big Mom’s craving-rampage is finally halted: Sanji’s substitute wedding cake is fed to her here (caption “Big Mom’s Forces, Fluffy Island,” p. 4), ending her Totto-Land-wide rampage; the island is governed by Chiffon as Minister of Fluff.
- Ch. 901 — where the recovered Big Mom and Perospero are stationed as the cake takes effect: Big Mom is lucid and blissful, reverted to “the old Mama,” stunning her family (p. 2).
