Father of Lola and Chiffon, and one of Big Mom’s 43 former husbands — whom she dismisses as a “stranger unconnected by blood.” A large, comic-but-tragic figure encountered by the Straw-Hat party in the Seducing Woods; he pleads kinship to his daughters while the homies move to execute him.

Whole Cake Island — risks his life for Chiffon on Cacao (Ch. 886)

• Travels to Cacao crying “Chiffon!! My daughter!!”; she does not recognize him (pp. 4, 11). Beaten by Oven in Chiffon’s place, he tells her “you were my only true family” and “come back and get vengeance for me” (pp. 11, 14).
• Cradles his infant grandson Pez as Bege shoots Oven, telling the baby: “this is your daddy’s WAY OF LIFE — watch closely, Pez, and remember” (p. 16) — the chapter title.

Whole Cake Island — Chocolat Town factory; begs to see Chiffon (Ch. 884)

• Turns up at the locked-down sweets factory gate at Chocolat Town on Cacao Island (the chapter’s titular “Who is that guy…?!”), begging to see his daughter Chiffon “one time” — reminiscing that she looks just as she did the day she was born (pp. 11, 15).

Whole Cake Island — Brulee targets him; Nami saves him (Ch. 837)

• In the Seducing Woods, Brulee tries to drag him into her Mirro-World to mutilate him, framing his survival as “rebellion against Mama” and calling him “Father Pound… or I suppose it’s just Pound now” (pp. 10-11). Pound: “after all, my own ex-wife said… I could be… killed…”
• Nami saves him with a Thunderbolt Tempo, electrocuting Brulee, who retreats through a mirror (pp. 11-12).
• The chapter juxtaposes his rescue with Nami’s group concluding Lola’s mother is Big Mom — implying a tie to Lola, but Pound is not stated to be Lola’s father on-page in 0837 (open question).
