Grants the user a one-time revival after death: the soul returns from the land of the dead to the world of the living and reanimates the body for a “second life” (Ch. 443 p. 6). While the user is alive the fruit confers no other benefit beyond the standard Devil-Fruit penalty — Brook says it “did nothing but make me unable to swim.” Because Brook’s soul could not find his drifting body for a full year, the revival reanimated only his decayed skeleton, producing the famous “talking skeleton” (pp. 6-7). His afro survived thanks to “very strong follicles.”
