Summary
Cover begins a new side-comic at Twin Cape: Luffy bathes in the lighthouse pool with Laboon under Crocus’s care. In Upper Yard’s survival game, the Shandian assault collapses panel by panel as the priest Ohm whittles the count from “ten people and two animals” toward elimination — defeating Shandian warriors and battering Holly, Ohm’s white dog. Zoro is trapped inside Ohm’s iron-cloud “White Vine Cage Match,” warned that touching the white vines will make him regret it. Elsewhere Enel descends into the forest fight: Raki (Laki) reunites with the wounded Wyper and relays Kamakiri’s message that Enel is in the forest. Enel taunts and effortlessly endures Wyper’s point-blank Reject-Dial-class blast (“seems it didn’t work on him”), laughing that he is all-knowing while Wyper’s allies despair that “he is invincible.” A giant land-serpent erupts, and in the chaos Enel cracks Wyper away with an “Axe Dial.” The serpent then swallows Nami, Aisa, Wyper and the waver whole — dropping the count to “six people and two animals” — and inside its cavernous stomach the survivors find one another. The chapter closes with Luffy crashing into the same gut, demanding to know what this “creepy cave” is — reuniting half the crew inside the snake.
New reveals
- Survival-game elimination count moves through the chapter: “ten people and two animals” (p.3) → “eight people and two animals” (p.8) → “six people and two animals” after the serpent swallows a group (p.17).
- Ohm’s “iron challenge” is framed as the White Vine Cage Match — an iron-cloud cage whose white vines are themselves the trap; touching them is dangerous (p.6–7).
- Enel withstands Wyper’s point-blank blast unharmed and declares himself all-knowing — reinforcing his “Kami” mythos and his Mantra-tier perception (p.11–14).
- A giant land-serpent swallows multiple combatants alive; its stomach is a navigable cavern large enough to hold people, the waver, and eventually Luffy (p.16–19). (Inference: this is the Shandian holy beast established earlier in Upper Yard; it is not named on-page in this chapter.)
- Axe Dial named on-page as Enel’s strike that launches Wyper (p.17).

Notable panels
- p.1 (cover): New side-comic opens — Luffy soaking in the Twin Cape lighthouse pool beside Laboon; his straw hat and sandals set on the rim. Recall of the Reverse-Mountain whale-keeper status quo.
- p.6: Splash of the dome-shaped iron-cloud cage — “the White Vine Cage Match!!”
- p.7: Ohm’s tattooed forearm and the warning “Touch it… and you’ll regret it.”
- p.11–12: Wyper’s point-blank blast on Enel; huge “KRAK…!!!” with Enel emerging unscathed amid the tomoe-drum silhouette, laughing.
- p.15: The giant serpent rears, “SKREE!!!” — Holly “Shake Paw!!” countercharge.
- p.17: “AXE DIAL!!” — Enel launches Wyper with a single strike (“W’HAM!”); count drops to “six people and two animals.”
- p.18–19: Inside the serpent’s stomach — Nami, Aisa, the waver, Wyper assembled; Luffy crashes in last (“YAAAAA… DOOM!!”). Comedy reunion.
Open questions raised
- What is the giant land-serpent, and can the Straw Hats use its stomach as a route/shortcut across Upper Yard? (Inference: it is the long-lived Shandian holy beast; unconfirmed in-chapter.)
- How does Enel negate even a Reject-class Shandian attack — durability, perception, or his fruit’s nature? (Goro Goro not named this chapter.)
- Can Zoro escape the iron-cloud cage without “regretting” contact with the white vines?
For the cover-tracker
- NEW cover serial begins @ Ch. 270 (p.1): Luffy bathing in the Twin Cape lighthouse pool with Laboon, under Crocus’s lighthouse-keeping. This succeeds the Wapol serial that concluded @ Ch. 262 (see Wapols Omnivorous Rampage). Installment count for this serial so far: 1 (this chapter’s cover). (No elaborate Cover-Stories note minted by synthesis per protocol.)
