Summary

The Survival Game continues in Upper Yard: Tony Tony Chopper faces the Kami’s vassal Gedatsu (self-styled “Sky Boss”), who fights with a Swamp Cloud burger (a sap/bog-cloud he can mold and hurl, devastating against ground but neutralized by Chopper’s Milky Dial) and Jet/Lethal-type Dials embedded in his clothes and shoes that give him flight and superhuman punching speed. Gedatsu repeatedly nearly kills Chopper, who survives by switching between his transformations (Brain Point/Scope, Heavy Point, Guard Point, Jumping Point, Arm Point) and — crucially — by moving so erratically that Gedatsu’s Mantra (his future-sight) keeps misreading him. The fight turns when Chopper grabs Gedatsu and steals one of his Jet Dial shoes mid-grapple; Gedatsu, now unbalanced and his Mantra thrown off by his own panic (“I got distracted and let down my Mantra!!”), is caught by Chopper’s Arm Point and a finishing Cloven Cross strike that hammers him into the ruins. Chopper wins. A frightened goat-like Skypiean bystander whom Chopper saved mid-fight watches the upset.
