Ch. 151 pp. 2-3 — “This used to be Dr. Kureha’s old house. A village kid stumbled onto it.” The Drum villagers shuttle the wounded Dalton up to Drum Castle in a single ropeway carriage on a forgotten line running from Kureha’s former cottage. The Ch. 148 infrastructure-decay-encodes-political-decay register (Wapol cut his subjects off from the castle/medical-care literally as well as politically) is now inverted: the back-channel infrastructure of Drum’s resistance-figures (Kureha’s old house, the secret ropeway, the people’s stumble-discovery) is the actual means of the people’s restoration.

Why this matters
Pairs with Ch. 148’s defunct castle-ropeway network register and inverts it. The Ch. 148 ropeways the regime cut down were the public infrastructure of the kingdom’s medical-and-governance access; this Ch. 151 line is the private back-channel of Drum’s hunted physician. The hidden-infrastructure-of-the-resistance is what carries the people up the mountain for the climactic assault — the regime cut down the public ropeways but could not cut down what they did not know existed.
