Summary
In Brulee’s Mirro-World, Katakuri beats a downed Luffy and lectures that “nobody decides to die because they want to,” while Brulee heckles Luffy and lionizes her brother — never touched the ground, born standing, never lain down, the “greatest masterpiece of the Charlotte Family.” Katakuri presses with his trident “Mole” and Mochi attacks; Luffy keeps slipping them. Elsewhere, on a candy-monster tidal wave, Big Mom learns (via Brulee’s overheard mirror-relay) that the Straw Hats survived and will surface on Cacao Island at night — which is also Big Mom’s own destination, where Pudding is baking a new cake — but her craving veers her mount toward Nuts Island instead. At Sweet City, the Charlotte ministers (Perospero, Mont-d’Or, a wailing Pekoms mourning the late Pedro) cannot track the Sunny — the territory sea slugs keep failing — and begin to suspect they have underestimated Luffy. Bege’s Firetank Pirates race aboard the Nostra Castello to reunite with Chiffon at Cacao Island. In a separate scene, a Big Mom Pirates commander takes a call from Nusstorte (aboard Germa’s own ship) reporting that the Germa Kingdom has been leveled — but its clone-production system deliberately spared (“that was the whole point”). Back in the mirror, Katakuri reveals his fruit is awakened, turning the ground itself to mochi — “It’s that thing Doflamingo did!!” — and Luffy reaches for Gear Fourth.
New reveals
- Katakuri’s Devil Fruit is awakened. He converts the Mirro-World’s floor into mochi (“Flowing Mochi”; “the ground turned into mochi”). Luffy recognizes the phenomenon: “It’s that thing Doflamingo did!!” — Katakuri: “Naturally.” (pp. 10-11)
- Katakuri’s trident is named “Mole” (p. 6).
- Big Mom’s wedding objective executed by force: her force under Nusstorte has razed the Germa Kingdom (“crushed by the might of 10,000”) but was ordered not to destroy the clone-production system — “that was the whole point of this, after all” (pp. 15-17).
- Cacao Island is the convergence point: the Straw Hats’ promised rendezvous and Big Mom’s own “final destination”; Pudding is baking a new cake there (pp. 7-8).
- The Charlotte command is rattled — the territory sea slugs / transponder snails keep losing the Sunny, and the ministers float that the Straw Hats may have orchestrated the “accidents,” i.e. that they overlooked Luffy’s potential (pp. 12-14).

Open questions raised
- How far does Katakuri’s “I know where you’ll dodge” perception actually reach — is it future-sight?
- What can an awakened Paramecia do that an ordinary one can’t, beyond converting the environment?
- Big Mom is veering toward Nuts Island in her craving — will the cake reach her, or will the rampage overtake the chase first?
- With the Germa Kingdom razed but the cloning tech intact, who holds it now — and will Big Mom’s crew seize it?
