Summary

Aboard a Big Mom-flagged ship, the crew passes around old issues of “Sora, Warrior of the Sea,” the World Economic Journal’s Navy-propaganda comic strip in which a transforming-robot hero battles the “army of evil,” Germa 66. A captive Sanji bristles at being lumped in with Germa, insisting he has nothing to do with them, while a fellow captive — Caesar Clown, hauled back by the Firetank Pirates and forced to share Sanji’s room — rages to be let out. Hit man Gotti menaces Sanji over the insult, but an unnamed pigtailed woman who looks exactly like Thriller Bark’s Lola stops him cold: harm “the son of Vinsmoke” and the godfather himself will lose his head, because Sanji is the bridegroom meant to tie the Vinsmoke and Charlotte families together. A few days later on the Thousand Sunny, the Sanji-retrieval team — Luffy, Nami, Chopper, Brook, Carrot, and Pekoms — is starving and overheating after days of storms. They land a giant fish, cook it exactly per a note Sanji left in his fish book, but Luffy gobbles the poisonous skin and nearly dies of an instant-death toxin — surviving only on monstrous vitality. As cotton-candy “snow” and territory sea slugs reveal they have crossed into Big Mom’s domain, a Big Mom Tarte scout ship spots them — and then identifies a second vessel as belonging to Germa 66.
