- 'Tarte' = French for 'tart' (the open pastry). Big Mom's fleet vessels are dessert-named, of a piece with the wall-to-wall confectionery motif of her domain — Totto Land's islands (Cacao, Candy, Nuts, Biscuits, Cheese, Jam), the Charlotte children's sweets-coded names, and Big Mom's own cake/soul cravings. The Tarte fleet patrols Totto Land's waters and 'tarte tanks' guard its borders (@0824).

A scout vessel of the Big Mom Pirates fleet that patrols the waters of Big Mom’s territory. Named on-page Ch. 825 (p. 13) when a Tarte ship reports the inbound Straw Hats’ Thousand Sunny and then identifies a Germa 66 ship — “NO!! That ship belongs to Germa 66!!!” — the first sign Germa is converging on the wedding. The numbered Tarte fleet (a base-ship “Tarte 28” was referenced Ch. 824, folded into Big Mom Pirates) guards Totto Land’s maritime border; cf. Tarte Checkpoint.
