Summary

Having fallen down a “shortcut,” Luffy (still cuffed to Law) confronts a Doflamingo who holds the wounded Law and taunts him — disappointed Law has gone soft, demanding to know “who turned you into such a softheaded sap,” and answering himself: “By who, my brother Corazon?!” After a “Bullet String” exchange and a cry to leave Law behind, the Tontatta pull the pair free and the “Doflamingo” tears apart — it was only a marionette body-double, a decoy built around the assassin Kelly Funk, whom the real Doflamingo “wiped out in an instant.” Luffy roars “I’m coming for you, Mingo!!!” and the scene widens to the assault on the former Royal Plateau: the gladiator alliance scales the palace in numbered steps (Chinjao for the third, Kyros arriving on the first), Luffy clears foot soldiers with an Elephant Gun, and the Tontatta under Leo improvise a “T.A.L. Jumping Service,” using Tontatta flower-magic on the 4th-step flower field to slingshot and cushion the big fighters upward. Across the city Zoro clashes swords with Pica atop Pica’s stone colossus, Sabo faces Fujitora, and a plan forms to open the SMILE factory. At the palace, Doflamingo and Trebol reminisce about “the first day we met Law,” and a flashback shows a dying child — “raised in the White Town,” strapped with bombs and bent on destroying everything — begging his way into the Donquixote Pirates because he “doesn’t have much longer to live.” Doflamingo recalls his premonition that in ten years the boy could be his right-hand man — and now means to kill him.

New reveals

• The opening “Doflamingo” was a decoy. When the Tontatta pull Luffy and Law clear, the figure unravels — “So it was just a double!! A marionette!!” (p. 6). It was a “String-Joker” Doflamingo “sent on a delivery” (p. 16), built around the assassin Kelly Funk; the recap notes the real Doflamingo “wiped out Kelly Funk the assassin in an instant” (p. 7). Continues the string-marionette body-double tell from Ch. 745.
• Doflamingo names “my brother Corazon” (p. 5): asked who softened Law, he answers “By who, my brother Corazon?! If you haven’t gone soft…”. First on-page referent for the unexplained “Cora…!!” Law cried out in Ch. 729 — a brother of Doflamingo who is implied to have “saved” / softened Law.
• Young-Law flashback (pp. 16–17): a dying child raised in “the White Town” pleads to join the Donquixote Pirates — “I want to destroy everything I see!!” / “I was raised in the White Town… I want to destroy it all.” / “I don’t… have much longer to live!!!” He arrives strapped with bombs as an “intruder” in their turf.
• Doflamingo’s premonition (p. 16): “He was a lot like me as a kid… I had a premonition… that in ten years, he could be my right-hand man.” Doflamingo and Trebol recall Law as “real crazy” with “a mean look in his eyes.”
• The plateau assault is structured as numbered “steps.” The alliance climbs the former Royal Plateau toward the palace; Luffy clears foot soldiers with Elephant Gun (pp. 9–10), Chinjao heads for the third step, Kyros reaches the first.
