Chapter 695: Leave It To Us!!!

Summary

On the coast of Punk Hazard, Franky (piloting the giant combat robot General Franky) brawls with two of Joker’s agents — Buffalo, who spins his whole body into a flying propeller-blade, and Baby 5, the “Sickle Girl” who turns her body into weapons — who have come to steal the captured Caesar Clown back. Franky’s “General Cannon” and “portable land-faring Gaon Cannon” blast them, but the pair grab Caesar and Buffalo flies off, declaring “In the name of Joker… we will do whatever it takes.” The pair recognize Law as a turncoat: Joker, they say, is “still holding the HEART seat open” for him in “the Don Quixote family.” With the alliance bickering over trust, Usopp (“Taking down flying enemies is the SNIPER’S job!!”) and Nami (“I want in on the offense!!”) team up: Usopp’s Pop-Green plant artillery feeds on Nami’s weather magic, and Nami’s “Weather Egg” hatches a thundercloud whose “Thunder-Breed Tempo” electrocutes the fleeing duo out of the sky. A G-5 Marine clamps Buffalo in Sea Prism Shackles, Baby 5 is knocked cold, and Caesar is recovered — “Stage one is a success.” A final cut shows a mysterious figure drifting at sea: “Oh, I think I overslept… So which way’s Punk Hazard?”

• General Franky is named “the secret weapon of the THOUSAND SUNNY, the pirate vessel that’ll rule this sea one day”; its weapons “General Cannon!!!!” and “the portable land-faring GAON CANNON!!!” debut by name (pp. 4–5, 9).
