  • The Bartholomew Kuma now attacking is the REAL Warlord, not a Pacifista clone — the crew had already fought 'three of these guys' (Pacifista) before this (p. 5); Rayleigh and the crew interrogate which one is real.
  • Kuma's paw power launches its targets vast distances — the crew speculates a struck person 'goes flying for three days and nights' and could be 'hurled to the far side of the oceans,' to somewhere 'not somewhere you can easily get to from here'; only Kuma knows where they go (p. 4).
  • Kuma erases one of his OWN Pacifista (PX-1) with his paw — 'He just erased one of his own guys!!' — and refuses to explain himself ('Why are you erasing your own people, bear-man?!') (p. 6).
  • Rayleigh is present but cannot intervene — he is occupied keeping Admiral Kizaru at bay and says 'I'd like to go help them, but the years have slowed me down' (p. 11).
  • Kuma will not answer Rayleigh: 'In matters that don't involve the government, I'm not required to cooperate with the Navy. I won't answer your question' (p. 11).
  • Kuma erases the entire Straw Hat crew one by one — Zoro (already gone at chapter open), then Brook, Usopp, Sanji, Franky, Nami, Chopper (in Monster Point), Robin, and finally Luffy.
  • Kuma's parting line to Luffy: 'Farewell. We'll never see each other again' (p. 19).
  • Closing narration: 'That day, the Straw Hat Pirates led by Captain Monkey D. Luffy... Grove 12, Sabaody Archipelago, the Grand Line... were eradicated' (p. 19).

Summary

The real Bartholomew Kuma — distinct from the Pacifista clones the crew already fought — methodically erases the Straw Hat Pirates at Grove 12 of the Sabaody Archipelago. Zoro has already vanished when the chapter opens; the crew has no idea where he went, only that Kuma’s paw power supposedly hurls a person “to the far side of the oceans,” flying for three days and nights. Kuma demonstrates the indifference of his agenda by erasing one of his own Pacifista, then ignores the crew’s questions. Rayleigh, who is occupied holding Admiral Kizaru at bay nearby, recognizes Kuma but cannot reach the crew in time and doubts this is even the genuine Warlord. One after another — Brook (sacrificing himself to shield Usopp and Sanji), Usopp, Sanji, Franky, Nami, a rampaging Monster-Point Chopper, and Robin — are touched and gone. Luffy, helpless despite Gear Two and a Jet Pistol, breaks down (“I couldn’t save any of them”). Kuma tells him “Farewell. We’ll never see each other again,” and erases him last. The narration declares the entire Straw Hat crew “eradicated.”
