Summary

The chapter opens on a two-page themed splash — Luffy riding a fish through a fantastical sunken ruin alongside dolphins, a mermaid figure, an orca and an island whale. On Thriller Bark, the surviving zombies and Perona’s underlings are in a panic: Oars’s rampage has wrecked the mansion, and word spreads that the giant crushed Dr. Hogback and “annihilated” all the zombie generals. Perona comes to from being passed out and foaming at the mouth (still hallucinating roaches — the aftermath of Usopp’s win over her), then orders her crew to gather up the treasure and food and flee the island before the pirates and Oars destroy it. Meanwhile, in a side room of the wedding hall, Absalom resumes his forced wedding and moves to kiss the still-groggy, bride-dressed Nami (“you’ll become the Graveyard Queen!!”); she wakes, recoils, and fights free just as the warthog-faced zombie Lola — smitten with “Ab” and convinced her friend “Namizo” is a male rival — crashes the ceremony. The gender-confusion comedy spins out (Lola “outing” Nami as a man to break up the wedding; Absalom: “But I saw her in the bath!”), until Lola changes course and covers Nami’s escape — “I came to help you… my friend!!”. Absalom, invisible (“I’m an invisible man”), corners Nami and blasts Lola aside; enraged, Nami zaps him with Thunder Charge: Swing Arm, and though electricity is useless on him he collapses — spent from his earlier brawl with Sanji. Nami declares “I win!!!”, and she and Lola reconcile: Nami confesses she’s really a woman, and Lola says she already knew — “You dummy.” Elsewhere in the rubble, the recovered Straw Hats (Zoro, Sanji, Robin, Chopper) regroup around the badly injured Oars; with Luffy’s shadow — and heart — inside him reaffirmed, they brace for the next clash.

Thunder Charge: Swing Arm doesn’t actually work on him (“I know it’s not effective on you!!”), but Absalom drops because he was already at his limit from his earlier fight with Sanji (“that man”) “back on the bridge” — Nami: “I must have got him in his weak spot or something! … I win!!!” (pp. 13-15).
