Perona’s Paramecia Devil Fruit, named on-page in Ch. 461 (p. 12, VIZ “Hollow-Hollow Fruit”). It lets the user project ghosts that are described as “a part of me” and that can “empty human hearts.” Perona’s ghosts were shown via effect from her debut (~Ch. 449) — drifting “Negative Hollow” ghosts that pass through a target and flood them with suicidal self-loathing — but the fruit itself is not named until the @0461 full power explanation during her fight with Usopp. The fruit’s signature weakness, established the same chapter, is that a target whose disposition is already maximally negative is immune (Usopp shrugs the ghosts off).

Power limits & weaknesses
- Negative Hollow has a hard counter: a target whose disposition is already maximally negative is unaffected — the ghost cannot deepen despair that is already at floor. Usopp (chronically negative) is immune, which dumbfounds Perona (“no human is immune to the negative hollows!”) (Ch. 461, pp. 16-17).
- The ghosts are “a part of” the user and operate at range, but the despair effect is purely psychological — a target who resists or fakes being hit (Usopp) can strike back.
- Astral-projection trade-off (revealed Ch. 465): the “Perona” an enemy fights can be an out-of-body ghost/astral form that passes through solid matter and through bodies and deals NO physical damage — but while projecting, the user’s real body sits dormant and defenseless elsewhere. Locating and striking the real body defeats her (Usopp snipes past the projection to win) (pp. 6-9, 17-20).

The Horo-Horo no Mi is the engine of Perona’s role as “Ghost Princess” of Thriller Bark: her Negative Hollow ghosts are the squad’s crowd-control, neutralising stronger opponents by collapsing their will rather than their bodies — Zoro, Sanji and Franky are all reduced to grovelling self-loathing in Ch. 461.
