“Lola” — a female warthog zombie “general” serving Absalom on Thriller Bark · compulsive marriage-proposer

Profile

A female warthog zombie (reanimated corpse) serving as one of Absalom’s zombie “generals” on Thriller Bark. She insists she is human and compulsively proposes marriage — to Absalom in particular (“Bridal Martial Arts!! Marital your kiss!!”, pp. 3-4). Spurned when Absalom names a living-human bride, she charges off to kill her rival, Nami (pp. 5, 17). A running comedic antagonist of the Wonder Garden sequence.

Disambiguation: this is the warthog zombie named “Lola” on Thriller Bark — NOT the human pirate also named Lola, who has not yet appeared. The note is pinned at Characters/Lola the Zombie to reserve Characters/Lola for that forward character ; do not collapse them.

Arc-by-arc updates

Whole Cake Island — referenced (Ch. 858)

  • Referenced in dialogue: Nami recalls “Lola was a giant warthog zombie?!” while Chiffon thanks Nami for saving the (human) Lola at Thriller Bark (p. 8). Not depicted.

Thriller Bark (Ch. 451) — first appearance

Thriller Bark (Ch. 453)

  • A large, big-lipped female wild zombie of the Wonder Garden obsessed with “LOVE” — “The name of that tempest is… LOVE!!! A power that can’t be measured… a power that blows everything away!” (p. 3). A comedic, romance-driven Thriller Bark zombie.

Thriller Bark (Ch. 454)

  • The zombie “Proposer” is befriended and manipulated by “Namizo” (Nami): moved to tears by the first kind encouragement she has ever had, she charges Absalom to propose — exactly the distraction Nami engineered to let her, Usopp and Chopper escape (pp. 3-8).

Thriller Bark (Ch. 471) — the ruse becomes a real friendship

  • Crashes Absalom’s wedding believing “Namizo” (Nami) backstabbed her (“you were about to take away my Ab!!”), then pivots to cover Nami’s escape — “I came to help you… my friend!!” (pp. 9-13).
  • Blasted aside by the invisible Absalom; after Nami downs him, reconciles with Nami and reveals “I already knew” Nami was a woman (“You dummy.”); declares she’ll marry the unconscious Absalom herself (pp. 12-16). See Lola The Zombie Befriends Nami My Friend Beat.

Thriller Bark (Ch. 472)

  • Befriends and aids Nami: she explains “what’s going on in this island,” kisses Nami goodbye, and urges her to flee — “I’ll be fine. You worry about yourself and run. Lola.” The intel is how Nami knows where Thriller Bark’s treasure chamber is (p. 17). See Lola The Zombie Befriends Nami My Friend Beat.

Thriller Bark — aftermath (Ch. 483)

  • Present (named) among the disoriented Thriller Bark survivors as the shadows depart and Moria’s defeat is realized (p. 11).

Thriller Bark — aftermath (Ch. 486) — the shadow’s owner revealed

  • With Moria’s defeat the warthog zombie’s stolen shadow has returned to its living owner; the human Lola appears and Nami realizes “that boar zombie was you?!” (pp. 5-6). Confirms the zombie was animated by the living Lola’s shadow. See Lola. (Zombie not shown; last_appearance unchanged.)
