- The claim
- The distinctive ringed/'target' eye-design will be revealed as a single ancient-kingdom bloodline, ancient race, or power — with at least one additional named figure (Zunisha, Cavendish/Hakuba, or a Void-Century figure) shown to carry Imu's ringed eyes and tied to the Void-Century Ancient Kingdom.
The claim
Reasoning
This is the SC5 forward-prediction leg of the “connected eye motif” Gauntlet (verdict: refuted at frontier 1187 — see The Distinctive Eyes Are One Connected Motif). The connected-motif thesis was refuted as adjudicable today because every non-Imu figure the theory recruits is currently a different eye-phenomenon or has no documented ringed-eye design. But the single-bloodline reveal is a genuine open question with no page able to settle it now, so it routes here as a low-confidence forward prediction rather than a scored verdict.
Confidence is deliberately low (0.15): the two on-page facts that survive — Imu’s own signature ringed eye (Ch. 1179 p.17) and the WG-hunts-rare-eyes agenda (Ch. 1186 p.7) — make an eye-based bloodline conceivable, but the named candidate figures (Zunisha, Cavendish) have zero on-page ringed-eye support at frontier 1187, and Imu’s own origin is itself unsettled (Ch. 1085).
Resolution
Once new info arrives, update
status,resolved_date,resolved_chapterand write a one-paragraph postmortem here describing what happened and what reasoning was right or wrong.
Supporting evidence
- Ch. 1179 — p.17: Imu’s revealed ringed/“target” eye-design (the anchor design for the whole motif); p.6 the design recurs within Imu’s own memory-montage.
- Ch. 1186 — p.7: the WG / “the Great One” (Imu) hunts a person for a rare awakened eye-trait, establishing an eye-based acquisition agenda.
- Ch. 1085 — Lily / the Empty Throne / the 800-year letter ground the Void-Century substrate a bloodline reveal would build on.
What would refute this
Be specific — the cleaner the falsifier, the more honest the prediction:
- Zunisha shown with the concentric ringed/target eye-design (currently only GLOWING-eye reveal beats tied to hearing Joy Boy — Ch. 1187 p.8, Ch. 806) — a GLOWING-eye-only Zunisha confirms this beat never comes.
- Cavendish / Hakuba getting an eye-DESIGN reveal (his lore is the Jekyll/Hyde sleeping-alter persona, no ringed eye — Ch. 704, Ch. 772) — a personality-only Hakuba refutes his inclusion.
- An Imu / Empty-Throne / Void Century reveal that gives the ringed eyes a NON-bloodline explanation (a Devil-Fruit power, a technique like “Gazing Eclipse”, a Lunarian trait, or a place-bound-spirit effect) rather than a shared race/lineage.
- The series ending with Imu’s ringed eyes established as unique to Imu (no additional named ring-eyed carrier tied to the Ancient Kingdom).

Not refuted outright — the claim is a forward one (“a future beat will show at least one additional named figure…”), and two of its three candidate slots (Zunisha, an unnamed Void-Century figure) are still live. Only a series-end close-out or an explicit on-page “the ringed eyes mean X” line can kill it. But two developments cut hard against it, one of which is a named refuter that has already fired.
1. A listed refuter fired — retroactively (the retro-file trap). This note’s own falsifier list includes: *“Cavendish / Hakuba getting an eye-DESIGN reveal … a personality-only Hakuba refutes his art and found exactly that: at Ch. 734 p.3 Hakuba fights asleep, drawn with closed eyes, and the round shapes read as Bartolomeo’s goggles. Cavendish/Hakuba is out. That is panel-level evidence from chapters long predating the filing date — it was already true when this prediction was written.
2. The anchor itself is eroded. This note cites “Ch. 1179 p.17: Imu’s revealed concludes that the p.17 close-up reads as a naturalistic hooded human eye, and that the ring/target impression traces to Imu’s robe/collar swirl motifs, the throne-room floor summoning circle, and single-dot silhouette staging — not the iris itself. If Imu’s iris is not actually ringed, the “one ringed-eye bloodline” premise has no anchor carrier at all, let alone a second one.
3. Ch. 1188–Ch. 1189 route the eye-STUDDED imagery to regalia, not blood. The eye-studded props keep multiplying but keep landing on objects and powers, never on inherited anatomy: Imu’s eye-ringed halo (Ch. 1180 p.2–3, Ch. 1181 p.8), the “Gazing Eclipse” eye-ring (Ch. 1182 pp.4–5), the eye-studded greatsword Gram (Ch. 1183 p.5), St. Manmayer Gurou’s eye-studded coat (Ch. 1186 p.6), and now the eye-studded void-serpent coils (Ch. 1188 p.8) — a summoned Omen construct. Ch. 1189 p.13 then supplies the unifying explanation for that whole set, and it is not a bloodline: the eye-studded blades are the 19 founders’ oath-weapons, distributed to the Holy Knights’ great houses because “when the Great One revived us with Omen, he granted us access to them.” That is the design language of a power and its regalia, which is the third listed refuter’s register (“a Devil-Fruit power, a technique like ‘Gazing Eclipse’ … rather than a shared race/lineage”).
Held short of refuted on purpose: point 3 explains the studded/disembodied eyes, which the
state in words that Imu’s own eyes have a non-bloodline origin. Zunisha also remains unfired — still
glowing-eye-only, with no ringed-iris beat and no ringed-iris denial. Scored down, not out.
