Chapter 776: Hero of the Coliseum

Summary

At the SMILE Factory, Franky (hailed by the Tontatta as “Fra-land”) finishes tearing the artificial-fruit plant “down to the ground” and passes the baton — “the rest is in your hands, Luffy” (pp. 2–3). The chapter’s real spine is the duel on the fourth step of the King’s Plateau — the flower field — Kyros vs. Diamante. Diamante, “the great Diamante, current hero of the coliseum,” mocks Kyros’s single leg and ripples the ground with his Ripple-Ripple Fruit, then turns drifting confetti paper into a beautiful, lethal rain of spiked metal balls (“Death Enjambre,” “like falling stardust”). Nico Robin shields the cornered Rebecca with a Mil Fleurs Flower Umbrella, while Kyros knocks the spiked rain aside one-legged — “can he walk through rain without getting wet?!” The crowd jeers Rebecca as a “descendant of evil” and “the undefeated woman” who wins only by disqualification, never harming a foe; Kyros tells her those pristine hands carry the soul of her mother Scarlet, and forbids her to stain them.
